I just closed a debt with these guys. Obviously spoke with my attorney prior too doing so, and they posted this directly on my credit report. I have the paid in full documentation that was faxed over 2 days ago, and it is being taken off of my report so I can purchase my house. Everything seemed legit to me and my lawyer, who happens to be my aunt. What's the problem???????

The same lawyer's office called me today 2/7/2014 from a  301#. Saying the same thing people below are saying. I actually gave them my card info, I just thank Hod that I found this website and immediately canceled my card. DO NOT BELIEVE THESE PPL THEY ARE THE SCUM OF THE EARTH! HANG UP THE PHONE AND CONTACT THE POLICE!

Got a call from Seth Goldstein, who said he was a lawyer at a federal court, where a bank was filing against me and he could settle for me if I could do it right then.  I talked him from $300 to $100.  Said I didn't have the $ and he said no problem, just get some kind of cash card and send him the info and let him know when he could take his $100.  Sent me emails from admin@rubinandfeinstein.net, which is a domain recently purchased by Goldstein and Weinberg.  I also got a phone number with a 301 area code, which is in Suitland MD.  I have talked to Seth there.  He told me he was in Sacramento and S. CA.  Called CA Bar Assoc and they told me I couldn't have a court case as he described without having first been actually served.  Something is definitely wrong here!  There are several Seth Goldsteins listed as attorneys in CA, but I think this Seth is not one of them.  I have decided to just wait for him to call me back and then was told by the Bar to get his Bar #.  Be very cautious when providing info to these types, regardless of whether what they are referring to seems both plausible and the info they have seems accurate!

Just had an Investigator Davis call looking for a friend that is terminally ill in the hosp and has been for some time..I've had several call before her and they don't care that this poor woman is dying...they're just wanting to lie their butts off thinking they can get a dime!!! Please someone make these people stop, I'm tired of hearing from them!!! I've talked with the attorney general and they cant do anything...this lady is on her death bed!! But they continue on!!!Beware, they use everything they can!!! Even told me they talked to her daughter at my number and I haven't seen her daughter for iver 18 yrs...if ao, she could put her sweet mother to rest!!!

This company is claiming that some one is using my name and possible my ssn as a reference or co-signer, but they have failed to answer any of my questions concerning this matter. This comapny also, gave me 3 three different names of possible people that could be using my name to cash checks they said...Each time you speak with them it is a different story and they are very RUDE.

I have received several harrassing calls from a Paul Rizzo claiming to be from Ruben and Feinstein Law Office in southern California. He claims that i am listed on some "file" that another family member is about to be sued over and that if i dont cooperate and give his information to that family member then i will be taken to court along with them. WHAT KIND OF STUPID IDIOT PULLS THIS CRAP?!?!?!? They use scare tactics to try and frighten you into doing what they want!!!  He even went so far as to call another of our family members and give her the same shpeal (sp) even though we havent seen or heard from her in 20+ years and who lives half the country away from us, but she recently friended us on facebook!
I asked him for more information regarding the "file" and he said "thats classified information"......yet he's calling me because supposedly my names on the file?!?!?!?!? Soooooooo it pertains to me yet its classified even from me!??!?!?!?  i am smart enough to know a scam when i hear one, unfortunately these bottom-feeding scum find thousands if not millions of people to buy into their reteric.
First, you cannot be sued for someone elses debt, especially if they cannot produce any documents with your signature. Second, if this is legitimate, they would be contacting local courts resources, maybe a local attorney, to track you down not calling up family members and harrassing them.
If they can use internet tools (Facebook, Intellius, etc) to track down relatives and lookup phone numbers, why dont they use the same tools to find the person they are looking for?
BEWARE PEOPLE, THESE LOSERS ARE OUT THERE AND THEY WILL TRY ANYTHING TO SEPERATE YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONES FROM YOUR MONEY!!!!

These people pretend to be lawers and act like your getting charges on put on you when there just trying to collect a bill its wrong they did this to my grand mother and she had a stroke ! A***oles! Do things the right way

I received a call on my cell phone (which only my closest friends know) "Harvey" looking "to deliver papers to a person associated with this number" whom I had never heard of before. Claimed to be an investigator, gave me a number to call him back and this 866 number to "talk to attorney Goldstein to verify his attempt to serve papers"

THIS IS A SCAM, PEOPLE. I have never heard of any of these people, I owe no one money.

I got the same story just now about sealed "court" documents. I know congreesmen and city councilmen in my town and they looked into it for me...no such documents or process server exists and guess what the guy said his mane was nichols...the same poster up above with such nice things to say! Report this phone call to the police as harrasment and start a log every time they call and after a long enough time you can sue them and press charges! Thats what my friends told me to do. My real name is Amy Segler. I am lucky to know such important people and I hope I can help as many peolpe as possible. I am also under Bankrupcty protection so I have the benefit of an attorney as well. I will follow these post for any questions ya"ll might have.

I received a call today at 7:30 am (illegal) looking for one of my husband relatives which we don't even talk or have a relationship  wth him, urging me to contact this relative because they have some sealed court documents they were going to send to my house and the houses of other relatives with the same last name if he didn't contact their office today. This is pure harassment ! This debt is not mine or my husband and this people have the nerve to bug us early in the morning with their story about trying to help this person  even after I told this man on the phone I didn't have a relationship with him. And now is threating to summon us?
I will file a complaint; this person gave me a phone number 866 8249885 ext 1011 and a name Goldstein.
And I agree with those who said those nice comments are from the debt collector agency posing as regular people. Since when a collection agency is so good and helpful? Maybe in a parallel universe!

I thought they were alright. I was contacted by their office Thursday, looked into what this was, and it is obviously legitimate or I wouldn't have gotten on the plan, but I will follow up after payment is completed.  The money doesn't even go to them.  It goes to the owner of the debt from what shows on my bank statement. I like em, they didn't rub me the wrong way.

Tx truthteller, I was left an illegal message on my vm. However,I knew it was a collectipn agency action like a law firm. N have been sued several times for breaking the FDCPA. Whats crazy is a debt collector doesn't have to break the law to do their job. FILE A COMPLAINT.  THEY ARE CRIMINALS

I'm in the process of purchasing a house, but I have to clear up my credit to get to a 650 score.  I contacted this firm as a referral and they have worked diligently with me for a couple of weeks now.... I have an excellent repore with my paralegal and I'm going into closing proceedings next week due to their assistance. EXCITED!!!

I agree...theres ALOT of a***oles out here. I called them back after looking up there #. I wasnt even what people say. they were nice and i got on a payment plan. so easy.

I actually had my attorney call, because someone had contacted my brother----  They straightened everything out pertaining to my judgement, and I settled out of court for 50%.  Now, my attorney refers his other clients to this company to see what they can do to help. Apparently good and fair people.  Like a breathe of fresh air nowadays!

LOL....They're okay. They took care of a loan i didn't pay. I actually paid less then what I owed. It was pretty cool. Im grateful.
