I called it back.  It is citizens united, per their recording.  I did as instructed - pressed 1 and then input my number so they'd take me off their list.  We'll see what happens.

Citizen's United is a radical right-wing organization much like the Phelp's religious group in Kansas that protests soldier's funerals. They have no respect for anyone who believes differently from themselves, much like the Taliban or radical Muslims. It is unfortunate for Republicans that this group is attached to them. Mainstream America is educated to the point of knowing how dangerous groups like this are to freedom.

Not to make this a political discussion as I just got a call from the number listed and Googled it and got this link...I just had to comment on Bland's comment about Obama not being a legitimate president: the 14th Amendment says:   "All persons born in the United States, except those not subject to the jurisdiction of the U.S. government (such as children of ambassadors or other foreign diplomats) are citizens under the Fourteenth Amendment.
Bland may not realize but Hawaii is actually part of the United States and there is no mention of the parents having to be born in the US. Get your facts right!

Please Citizens United stop calling.   I agree with everything your doing and support you,  just stop calling.

By the way:
A Natural Born Citizen Is:  A person born on the soil of a nation and the mother and father are also citizens of that same nation.

The constitution states, the president has to be a natural born citizen.  Guess what, Baracks father was a Kenyan citizen,  which makes Obama not a legitimate president per the constitution, just as Chester A. Author was not a legitimate president.  This is not a party line thing this is merely supporting our founding document.

Big Red Flag Here Folks.

These slimy losers called and asked for money.  I told them to send me a pledge form in the mail and never paid it.  Then they got pissed off because I never paid them and sold my phone number to collection agencies blah blah blah.  Then someone at a collection agency sold the number to a bunch of 419 scammers because I traced some of the numerous weird calls from private numbers based in california to Nigerian confidence men.  The amount of telephone traffic generated by these people amounts to telephone terrorism and its all sponsored by Fox news corporation.  Anything to make a buck eh?  Dick Morris is a lying sack of dog mess...STOP CALLING ME!!!

We also are getting this and other annoying calls.  My solution is simple.  When the phone rings, and it is "one of those numbers", I simply pick the phone up and lay it down so that it stays connected.  It gives me some solice that I am wasting their time.

My wife received a call from the number and after a brief pause, they asked for me.  When she asked who it was, they identified themselves as Fox61, a television station.  When she informed them I was busy, they said they would call back later and hung up.

How do you spell deceit?

As many others have mentioned, I have been getting calls from the number for several months now.  Have got calls every day of the week, including Sundays, and at all hours.  I followed the suggestion someone mentioned and called the number.  The call is answered by an automated voice that gives instructions for removal.  I pressed '1', entered my 10 digit phone number and pressed '1' again after being told to.  Supposedly this will remove my number from theis calling list.  Will post another response if I get any further calls.

This number has been calling my phone for several weeks now.  I am tired or receiving phone calls at all hours.  I do not answer, and they leave no message. I am on the Do Not Call list, and don't appreciate these kind of calls.  If I try to call the number back, the operator says  "This call cannot be completed at this number."  So It seems impossible to get rid of the calls.  Why bother with the Do Not Call list, if it does NO good.!!

Caller never speaks or leaves message. This newly instituted law Exempts calls of this type. You will not be able to cancel with the *60 Selective Cancellation Feature of Caller-Id. Another U.S Law loophole which can be used by religious organizations and politicians to harass and extract money.

This number (866-839-1376) called today and my husband answered. The party told him they wanted to talk to his wife and that they wanted to ask some survey questions. He told them that his wife did not want to talk to them and we do not participate in surveys, and he hung up.

Play a message from Dick Morris (Fox News), followed by an opinion question, followed by a request for a donation. Not enough that you tell them you want something in writing then you'll send a check. They want a guarantee via credit card. Told them I wasn't doing that and I hung up

These people call in spells. They'll call, sometimes up to three times a day and then quit awhile. They started again today. When the machine answers a woman's voice shouts, "Hello, hello, hello...." The dummy doesn't have enough sense to know that no one is answering her.

thank you for the call:

Mr. runner who posted above,

AP declared Obama ?Kenyan-Born?

What most people know is that the Associated Press (AP) is one of the largest, internationally recognized, syndicated news services.  What most people don?t know that is in 2004, the AP was a ?birther? news organization.

How so?  Because in a syndicated report, published Sunday, June 27, 2004, by the Kenyan Standard Times, and which was, as of this report, available at

http://web.archive.org/web/20040627142700/eas ... ews26060403.htm

The AP reporter stated the following:

Kenyan-born US Senate hopeful, Barrack Obama, appeared set to take over the Illinois Senate seat after his main rival, Jack Ryan, dropped out of the race on Friday night amid a furor over lurid sex club allegations.

This report explains the context of the oft cited debate, between Obama and Keyes in the following Fall, in which Keyes faulted Obama for not being a ?natural born citizen?, and in which Obama, by his quick retort, ?So what? I am running for Illinois Senator, not the presidency?, self-admitted that he was not eligible for the office.  Seeing that an AP reporter is too professional to submit a story which was not based on confirmed sources (ostensibly the Obama campaign in this case), the inference seems inescapable: Obama himself was putting out in 2004, that he was born in Kenya .

The difficulty in finding this gem of a story is hampered by Google, which is running flak for Obama:  because if you search for ?Kenyan-born US Senate? you wont find it, but if you search for the phrase without quotes you will find links which talk about it.

For those who believe what they see, here is the screen capture of the page from the Kenyan Sunday Standard, electronic edition, of June 27, 2004 ? Just in case that page is scrubbed from the Web Archive:

Readers should take note that this AP story, was syndicated world-wide, so you should be able to find it in major newspapers, archived in libraries world-wide.  If any reader does this, please let The Post & Emailknow, so that we can publish a follow up-story.  You can scrub the net, but scrubbing libraries world-wide is not so easy.

Hanen of Sentinel Blog Radio broke the public news of the existence of this AP story at on October 14, 2009 at 12:31 pm.  However, The Post & Email can confirm that a professional investigator had uncovered this story months ago, and that certified and authenticated copies of this report, meeting Federal Rules of evidence, have already been prepared and archived at many locations nationwide.

It should be noted that on January 8, 2006, the Honolulu Advertiser also reported that Barack Hussein Obama was born outside the United States .

A Chronology of Deceit

One can now ask an important question which has not yet been emphasized enough:  ?Just when did Obama begin to publically claim he was born in Hawaii ?? This question is distinct from the question, ?Just where in fact was Obama born??, and from the other question, ?What do official documents say about where he was born??

Regarding his claims, we can summarize what is known:

1. As of Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, Obama?s Campaign was putting out that he was born in Hawaii .  This is known from the introductory speech given by Prof. George A. O. Magoha, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nairobi , on the occasion of a speech given there by Senator Obama that day. (One presumes that the Vice-Chancellor was given notes from the Obama campaign, as is customary on such occasions)

2. From the newspaper reports above, it is clear that the Obama campaign was putting out that he was born in Kenya , or overseas, during the period of June 27, 2004, until January 8, 2006.

3. In October of 2004, during the ABC Chicago Affiliate?s broadcast of the Obama-Keyes debates, Obama openly admitted ? he conceded ? that he was not a natural born citizen. (C-Span aired the uncut version of the debates, which contained this exchange, in the second half of April, 2005)

4. It is known from a classmate of Obama at Harvard University , that while at Harvard, Obama at least on one occasion admitted that he was born in Kenya . (This friend went on record on a call in radio program in Idaho in early July, 2009)

If any reader can find a link which documents a claim to a birth location before Aug. 28th, 2006, which differs from this timeline or which supports it; please let The Post & Email know of it, by posting it in the comment section below.

In a follow up report, The Post & Email has published a brief analysis of the Google Newspaper archive, which shows that Obama?s story changed after June 27, 2004.

Finally, that the AP did cover this story, reprinted by the East African Standard, can be seen from the citation made to AP stories about it (Jack Ryan dropping out of the race), in the following contemporary news articles, which however are incomplete:

June 25, 2004 ? http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,123716,00.html

June 26, 2004 ? Bellview News Democrat

June 26, 2004 ? AP Online Story by Michael Tarm

June 25, 2004 ? AP Syndicated Story by Maura Kelly Lannan

(Second Source on June 26, 2009, which cites Associated Press Special Correspondent David Espo and reporter Dennis Conrad as contributors to this report)

(Third Source, The Ledger, print edition of June 26, 2009: partial republication)

When I answered, there was dead air.  I returned the call and their message says "Thank you for calling Citizens United.  We recently called you and were unable to reach you.  We'll call at a later time.  If you would like to be removed from our calling list, please press 1 now."

I googled Citizens United and found http://www.citizensunited.org/
Citizens United is an organization dedicated to restoring our government to citizens' control. Through a combination of education, advocacy, and grass roots organization, Citizens United seeks to reassert the traditional American values of limited government, freedom of enterprise, strong families, and national sovereignty and security. Citizens United's goal is to restore the founding fathers' vision of a free nation, guided by the honesty, common sense, and good will of its citizens.

No guarantee that it is the correct organization, but it seems likely.
