receive a call from this number

This is Shaw Cable wanting me to spend more for a home phone but I really think they want to send a tech fresh out of prison to case my joint for a possible break in or molest my wife and kids

This call is coming from somewhere in the United States.  I have no idea why they keep calling 4 times a day, but seeing as how everyone is getting this phone call, its likely the next big scam.

Recieved a call from this number, when I answered there were a couple of beeps and then disconnected. (I guess this means they know someone will answer and will continue to call me, good thing I can block numbers)

I'm getting this call too! It seems I am not alone. My theory on why some see shaw and some see PXCLID NAME is that people who are trying to scam us are using some sort of scrambler so this bogus number shows up and shaw's network pops it up as 'shaw' for some reason. Has any shaw users seen PXCLID NAME show up? Has any.... say Telus clients seen shaw on the call display? I won't be answering this.

To discourage this type of harassing sales tactics, cancel their service and go to Telus, especially since Jim Shaw is a retard and hates Telus.  I want o bankrupt Shaw and ensuer that every single person I know cancels SHAW NOW!

hi i have looked this up it is a telemarketing company that will call u but wont talk when u make a noise it reconrds it and shows the times when u are able to answer and when u are home so they can give ur number out to other companys to call and try sell u mareketing items

You know if you dont like the calls, maybe you should pick up the phone and simply say "Please remove me from your calling list". Its as easy as that and your number will be removed from their database within 30days.

I got a call from this number a couple of weeks ago CLAIMING they were calling from SHAW, but all they wanted to do was offer me free cable and internet.  I thought it was fishy so I told them "NO" and "F#$^ OFF!!!"  But I talked to my neighbour recently and he got the same call around the same time, and he actually did get the FREE CABLE and FREE INTERNET and told me that it cost nothing w/ no strings attached.  i called shaw to see if i can get the same deal my neighbour got and they said that promotiion was over and it was only available through over the telephone.  :(  F#$K!!!!

I don't understand why everybody gets upset when Shaw calls, alot of customers call Shaw and complain that Shaw never gives loyal customers anything... but when shaw is calling to give you somtething for free or at a discounted price you won't answer the phone, or get mad at Shaw.
Don't understand??? I get calls from Shaw and they offer me great deals!

This is Shaw calling for promotion and all that stuff.  Just tell them you don't want to here from them and they will stop, eventually.  I was getting calls from them 2-3 times per year, it's not that bad but if you're a customer, just tell them that you're not interested in any promotion andif they don't stop calling and you're a Shaw customer, you'll change phone company, you'll see the results right away...........

i think shaw has been hacked and i can tell u why. when i recviue this claiming to be from shaw. they asked fo my father since he middle name and firt name. when he singed for shaw he acciendtly give his mid name and that is only i as i can remember that he has giver that name. So i m thinking they are Shaw or they really scamers and got the numbers from shaw some how.

I have this number registed twice in my call history... once as that PXCLID NAME and once as Shaw.

I'm really regretting adding my name to that national DNC list, as that was apparently hacked.

The phone rang and when I picked it up no one answered.

I agree these calls are a nuance and average 3-4 per day.  Would like them to stop.

I got a call from this number - my Caller ID displayed:  PXCLID NAME.

Strange.

If this is a Shaw Promotion call, or Shaw orientated, and I knew that to be correct I would definitely call them and place a complaint.

This is a very immature way of approaching potential customers of a Company if this is what they are trying to accomplish.  If I determoned this was Shaw, I would consider stopping any kind of business dealings with them.

How does one find out if it is Shaw?

I just got a call from this number. I could hear people talking in the background, but no-one was speaking to me. Very strange.

I would just like to kno who calls me.

I've been a victim of a similar fraud; the difference was that they called me and claimed to be from Rogers and told me that there's this nice plan, blah blah. In less than a month, around $1500 was charged to my Rogers for new lines and expensive cell phones. I can't remember if I (stupidly) gave them any important information but I trusted them as far as I can remember.

Now, I'm getting calls from this god damn PXCLID and this reminds me of what happened before so I never answer. If it's important, they would leave a message. Besides, it's a policy that these companies do not call to ask for personal information. Even if they do, you should always ask them to give a call-back number, otherwise, you are risking your a**.

Lastly, how difficult is it for some official (Police) to track these bastards? I wonder!

I received this call everyday(2x to 3x) i don't answered it. i check it at midnight. its seems its another telemarketing. it doesn't say Shaw but I think its possible. its annoying and i hope it will stop. but the only thing you could do is don't answer it.I hope  there is a way we could report this. coz sometimes they phone when my kids  and I are sleeping so I put my phone to "don't disturb". thanks.

I just got a phone call from this phone number.  Woman claimed to represent Shaw Cable and asked if I'm experiencing any problems with my digital cable box.  I said no, and asked her what the call is about.  She replied, "This is just a courtesy call."  I smelt something fishy, so I called Shaw.  Now this is the important part:

*****The person who picked up at Shaw told me without any hesitation that they do not have anyone making such courtesy calls, and that whoever just called me is not with Shaw.*****

The Shaw representative went on to say that they don't know how this telemarketer got my number.  But the phone call I got definitely wasn't a telemarketer; they didn't try to sell me anything.  I've notified Shaw again (this time in writing), and e-mailed the local police department (maybe overreacting, but it doesn't cost me anything).

Please spread the word: these phone calls are not from Shaw Cable.  Don't give them any information (I certainly didn't).  

If they call me again, I'll ask them to give me my account number and other details to prove they're from Shaw (or at least show that Shaw gave away/leaked their information to a third party).

If I get a another response from Shaw I will post in this thread.

I have a good idea what this is.  It's not shaw. Yesterday my bank (and several others) contacted HUNDREDS of customers and had to cancel their debit cards because of a confirmed fraud. When I went to the bank to replace my card, the teller told me that she'd already replaced between 30 and 40 debit cards for customers at that location alone, and the overwhelming majority of us had recently shopped at a local 7-11 convenience store. Since she was able to verify that this was something we each had in common, I would say that every one of us have now been put in touch with the scum who'd like to do a bit more than copy cards. DO NOT PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION TO THESE CALLERS. Caller ID PXCLID NAME, call received January 8th, 2009 around 3PM PST.
No message left.

Have received 3  calls from PXCLID and do not answer and no message left.  Who is using this # and how do they get mine as it is unlisted/unpublished!
