I started getting phone calls from this number after I called Time Warner to get a price on their business phone package. I never ordered it because there was a better deal somewhere else. When I pick up the call, it hangs up. When I call it back, I get a fax tone. I think whoever this is, is sending out spam faxes. The seem somehow affiliated with Time Warner.

A woman asked for the CEO by name. I advised that he was unavailable. She said she was Debbie calling from Washington Technology and wanted to update our information regarding a free publication and if I have the authority. I told her I was unable to and she said she'll call back.

Unknown on caller ID: Asked to confirm name and address for a free subscription to Washington Technology.

If this is indeed from a telemarketer, we need to all report this to the Do NOT Call people (FCC) and get this place shut down. I for one am on the DNC list and these jerks called my cell.

Very ugly behavior. Can we got the business name of this number and sue its call abusement.

So the number is from a telemarketing company that is used by mulitple companies.  The company that has been using it to call us is Computerworld Magazine.  I looked in the policy on their website and it shows that they have a right to provide subscriber information UNLESS the subscriber writes a letter stating they do not give permission.  I called the company and ended up speaking to the circulation manager who confirmed all of the above but took down our information and is going to put a block on our account that our information is not to be released.  She did reiterate that the telemarketing company is used by mulitple companies.

Received 2 calls this month.  I'm making a compaint to Verizon about this.

866-862-9641 is a phone number for a call center.  I finally got to talk to someone by answering the phone before ringing was completed.  Someone identified themselves as a call center collecting information for COMPUTERWORLD.  I told them to call me back on my private line/number and then gave them the local police department's number.  I also requested they always call me on my private line and delete my old number.  Maybe it will work!

I am being harassed everyday by calls from this toll free number. As soon as I answer, the call gets disconnected

I just got the same thing as everyone else... Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.... I believe it to be a spam fax as suggested above...

I received this call twice today.  The first time (9:33am) I was unable to answer and saw it in my missed calls list.  There was no voicemail.  

The second time (11:20am), I answered and a female voice said my name and asked if it was with whom she was speaking, then said she wanted me to verify my address and send out an information packet 'if that was okay with me?'  I said 'no, I'd rather you didn't...'  She answered, "okay, thank you sir" and hung up.  She gave a company name, but it sounded generic and I've already forgotten what it was.

Same here. Picked up call on first ring, they hang up...suspicious if we are all experiencing the same thing

Called my direct line at work and disconnected after I said Hello

I have gotten a number of calls from that number this week, but no messagesin my voicemail. They call during the day when I am working, so I don't get a chance to answer. Any idea who it is?

Number calls me. I heard on my voice message talking like someone was online but there was no message left. I like others, called it back and got a fax ring. Who are these people!!!
