why they call me
| iseult 2011-06-06 21:03:25 Unknown |
Phone message left from "Chase Home Mortgage with an
important message about your home loan". Chase says
that this is NOT one of their numbers, so I assume that
it's phishing.

Glad to find this!!! We kept getting calls from that number but knew Chase didn't have the phone number that they called us on. Decided to check the web. Figured it was a scam!!!

This is a "Robot" call from Chase Home Mortgage. It's to remind you your monthly mortgage payment was not received by the 30th/31th, and will be late if not paid by the 15th of the current month.
They call me every month. I just hang up on them. Only way to stop the calls is to pay before the end of prior the month.

We just got a call from this number 1-866-866-0663. The Robot claimed to be Chase Home Mortgage and asked for us to give the first 4 digits of my social security number. It seemed like a phishing scam because our mortgage is current and today is the 12th, not yet the 15th. We hung up at that point.

I usually call to set up my payment by the 10th, but when I don't, I get a call from this number. When it first happened I called the number back and I told the person who answered that I had received a call from that number and hadn't gotten to the phone in time and the call disconnected when I cut the connection to the answering machine. She told me it was a courtesy call from Chase Mortgage to inform that the payment due on the 15th had not yet been received. At that time, she said it was a relatively new service to help their customers avoid having late payments, fees, and possible marks against their credit.

Thanks for the information. We have been receiving calls from this number as well. We are current on our mortgage, so I do not understand why they are calling. We do not need a reminder call.
