Called at 11am , answering machine picked up , left no message

Nobody there and they hangup on answer.

After a bit of searching, it looks like the caller ID number shown (866-872-0452) is probably spoofed (faked) by a collection agency. They haven't called enough times for me to accumulate sufficient data from the telephone data packets I analyze to catch them...but I will expose them on the internet once I have.

No one on other end when answered. Must be a recording.

I'm another MJ. I got a call from 866-872-0452 on Jan 21st around 6PM. I was home all day and got 4 or 5 calls through out the day and evening. I let them go to my answering machine, since I seem to get a lot of calls and no one there when I answer. No messages were ever left on 1-21-08. I dialed *69 after the last call and got this number.

received calls similar to others above.  how can we stop this annoyance.  I'm a senior citizen had the same phone #  for years.  Why should I have to change for these annoying calls.  Something has to be done. Please advise.Granny

We're getting the same calls from the same number, unsure who it is.  When we answer it's a long silence like they are putting you on hold.  TIRED OF IT!!!

Yes this one is a collector of some type. They are not there when you answer, but then it switches really fast & a person is on the line if they hear someone answer. I pickup, but don't say anything so then I can hang up before they come online. Hope this helps. It makes the annoying ringing stop anyway. This one is a BAD one. They are very annoying!
