Whenever I get calls from some clown wanting to buy my car I tell them "Sure! For $100,000 -- not a cent less!" I am dead serious -- I like my car, it's in good shape, & I wouldn't sell it for the pittance these idiots are offering. So far no one has taken me up on my counteroffer. But I think they get my message: they don't call back. As for merchants selling your name & number ... unfortunately this is a fact of modern life. It's legal, & apparently does not violate that useless Do Not Call List law.

Apparently this is a company contracted by several auto dealers to inquire about service. It actually appears sort of legit. It sounds like they want to sell extended service stuff and upgrades to the car. The person I talked to didn't push and answered my questions about who they were. I was surprised. I noted a link to this company's website from the car dealer's website.

Apparently, you are unaware of the hundreds of criminal scam calls made to hardworking people that steal personal information and money from them. It is such an epidemic that anyone who calls from an unknown number is suspect and likely to get rude responses. According to Consumer Reports, fraud and identity-theft complaints tracked by the Federal Trade Commission topped 1.2 million in 2011, up 19 percent over 2010 and 800 percent since 2000. ?Fraud is as high as it?s ever been, because the scam artists are using brand-new channels and technology that didn?t exist 15 years ago,? says Martha Deevy, director of the Financial Fraud Research Center at Stanford University?s Center on Longevity. The center estimates the measurable direct cost of financial fraud to Americans to be $40 billion to $50 billion a year. So, you can expect a lot of rude calls from frustrated people who cannot be protected from scammers. My recommendation is that you get another job, or become more tolerant of rude responses to your calls, because I think they have more of a reason to be pissed off than you do.

The calls I keep receiving are from Parks Ford. The interesting part is that when you call them back from the ignored call, they have a generic message that doesn't indicate who they are, forcing you to wait for a rep to answer and then you have to ask where they are calling from. Here they tell you which dealership, which we have all different ones in here with the same number, but when you ask them to remove you from their call list, they need your phone number. Why is that when you know exactly which dealership to reference. It's the same phone number for all these other dealerships!! In regards to the one message above, it is okay to call about a recall issue or service issue, but during the day when people are at work, it's kind of annoying to call for a trade or mileage issue when you are on a do not call list.

If you read the thread, it shows it is from most likely your auto dealership that you bought your vehicle from. I also have been getting calls and that is where mine is coming from.

It is who you bought or serviced your vehicle from. They are a call center. I am one of their agents. I am a college student and this job pays very well. It also works with my schedule. The last thing I want to do is contact rude people who do not want to answere simple surveys. I honestly think the people i talk to are all spoiled personally. Who curses someone out just because the asked for the mileage on a f****ng car??? I mean people get it together, there is no fraud in knowing the mileage. It is not like I asked for the damn vin number or license plates. It is even worse when I have to speak with the wives when I specifically asked to speak with the "driver" which is more than likely the husband. I do not want your man, I just want him to set up an appoinment with me to walk the showroom floor with the sales manager of that dealership and I cant get that measly $1.00 you're worth

It is in georgia they are a call center for your local car dealership
| Mike 2014-04-04 23:38:56 Unknown |
It's a service used by whoever you bought your car from. Since you've done business with them, they can get around the do not call registry. Annoying.

received several calls from them, all within a two hour time span. I didn't answer and they left no message

Called number back, they answered. Be nice, and give your excuse, and they should remove number. BTW, IF your getting on cell phone, more than likely the number DID belong to a customer of the dealership

I receive multiple calls daily from this number. The name of the company or caller is "Not Provided".
I answered today only because my wife was sleeping and I did not wish her to be disturbed. The caller stated that she represented Stearns Ford, a Burlington, North Carolina, authorized Ford dealership. I explained again that I will not conduct business or charity over the telephone with anyone I do not know. That includes all telephone marketers. I clearly requested, as I have in the past, that they do not call me. The caller confirmed that she understood my request to cease calling me. However, she did not confirm that they would in fact stop calling.
I have done minor service business with Stearns Ford. However, If I receive another call of this nature, I will take my service business elsewhere and will not consider Stearns Ford when I need to purchase another vehicle. I will be contacting the General Manager of Stearns Ford to make this clear to him.
Stearns Ford, Burlington, North Carolina. Mitch Rogers, General Manager, Telephone 336-229-6951

Got a call from this company and it was in reference to the dealership that I bought my car from years ago. They asked how many miles I had on my car and if I was willing to bring it in for a trade-in because the market is good for resale. Then he asked me what year I bought the car from them and I realized it was fishing so I told him I was never going to buy another car from that make again. He quickly got the hint and said he'd pass that information on.

Rec'd 5 calls in a week, including my work number. I had no idea the dealer even had that, and I'm pissed that they sold it, wtf. I googled the phone number and this page came up. I haven't answered any of the calls so I imagine they will keep coming. Ugh.
