AltCharge debited my account in the amount of $84.80 on 9/4/12, on behalf of a merchant that neither delivered the product nor responded to phone or email contact attempts by myself or AltCharge.

Approximately three weeks ago, AltCharge advised me by phone that they would process a refund to me, and to call back in a week to check on the status.

Since that time, I have called more than 40 times, but have been unable to get through to a CSR. After varying times on hold, I eventually get to "First in Line," and then hear a recording that the person at that the "person at extension 1101 is unavailable."

Personally, I think they're just blackholing my phone number when I call, and that they have no intention of processing the refund.

AltCharge is the processor of last resort for scumbag merchants that no reputable processor will deal with. If the merchant doesn't deliver, AltCharge will do NOTHING to help you get your money back.

Do yourself a favor: If a merchant wants you to pay them through AltCharge, RUN as fast as you can.

I see Altcharge.com is still at it.  Bunch of frauds!  Stole $450 from my grandmother's account last year.  Messed up her whole account/bill payment system and she racked up tons of overcharge fees.  She was scared of loosing everything and has worked hard her whole life for 80 years before finally being able to retire.  Maybe you should get a real job and earn your money like she did all those years by being a useful part of society. You guys are really awful and I hope someone finally puts an end to your theft.  I have to believe one day you'll get yours.  -Jill P

I am an elderly lady that just lost my husband and just found out that i have breast cancer, i was very upset and needed something to calm my nerves. a friend told me about a web site where you can buy prescription drugs with no prescription. the name of the co. is called viagra4usite.com. I wrote them a check for 295. i sent this money on the 2nd of july and to this day that co. says that you guys never did cash the check because the routing no. was wrong. i called your office in las vegas and the customer service today me that the check did go through and the money was sent to that co. they claim that your co. is lying to me. i would like to know what your co. is going to do about this oh, i also have a reciept from your co. stating that you guys did cash the check. someone will be held responsible and it will be your co. you cashed the check so now you will pay me the money i am out.

I am an elderly woman who just lost her husband and i was to embarassed to ask my doc. for a medication, i ordered it online and i was told that altcharge cashed my check and that the company that was supposed to get the money didnt get paid by them. what should i do, it was all the money i had. 295.00.

I tried to call your office to dispute an unauthorized withdrawal from my checking account and was told to leave a message.  I was then hung up on.  I believe there is another unauthorized withdrawal from my account which showed up yesterday.  Because it is Saturday, I now have to worry all weekend about being refunded money that was taken out of my account without authorization.  This sounds like a complete scam and I intend to get all of my money back in my account on monday.  Do not trust this company, there are too many complaints against it.

They are not from Montreal - altcharge is from Las Vegas, NV - the other one you mentioned I beleive is from Utah - Altcharge operates a check processing company and has been our processor for over a year now with no problems. Our customers submit payments via our website to pay bills from their checking account and we have never had a customer complaint the entire time we dealt with altcharge. I would reccomend them for check processing to anyone as they have always given us excellent service.

Altcharge employes a 3rd party PR company I work for that company.  Hence why the customer service agents were not aware of me personally the upper management is.

As for the complaints, we contacted the merchant and they had allready issued refunds to those customer.

Altcharge is a payment processor based out of Las Vegas, not a telephone marketing operation in Canada.

We're currently investigating countless claims against your "company," Altcharge.com.  I spoke with two of your "customer service representatives" who confirmed there is no - and never has been - a "Tim Otter" who's worked with the company.  I was also put into a non-descript voice mail box, and left a message for someone to call me back.

We have received numerous complaints against "Altcharge," "Your Benefit" and "Thrid Party."  We believe each to be involved with the other.  And based on the complaints listed on this page, we have reason to believe each is legitimate.  We're working on an investigation for broadcast ASAP, so I encourage someone from Altcharge to contact me immediately.

The same thing happened to my mother yesterday. They took out $449 from her checking account. We immediately called the band and said it was not authorized. There was a check made out to Your Benefits no signature required. My mother is 80 years old and got ripped off. I can't believe that Bank of America authorized this. We did get our money back since we called immeditaetly to the bank. Now we have to go and create a new account.I can't believe a bank such as that can be so reckless !

Same company did this to my brother in law. He did not give permission.

Company with this number took $449 out of my 87-year-old mother's checking account through AltCharge without her permission.  Bank is investigating the fraud.  Company listed as "Your Benefit."  Beware of scam against the elderly!
