They've called 2 days in a row in the morning.  The phone # comes up 1416 and "Unknown caller".  Today "Marvin Key" left a message demanding my exroommate (who hasn't lived in the country for 2.5 yrs) call back about a n "personal business matter" (personal & business??).

I called back the main #.  No business title answered, just answered "Roland".  I asked for the name of the business, (pause) "Global Corporation" (hm, nice & vague).  When I asked for a fax #, I got transfered to another person who didn't even bother giving their name, but gave me 866-568-1690.

Now I can send them a legal written statement that this person doesn't have this #& a cease/desist letter telling them if they call again they will be violating the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act as well as the Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Acts and possibly some state laws as well.

My caller ID said 208-714-4801, a number in northern Idaho. I have had it. Today I contact the ID AG's office. I put this number on the NO NOT CALL list in August when I got it. Because they claimed to be calling on "legitimate" business, they have a "tenuous" business relationship to the number and slip under the wire on the national list. At first the calls were for a specific person that owned the number previously. When I tried to tell them the person (different nationality than we are) no longer had the phone number and to stop calling, they said they could call anytime they wanted to as long as they wanted to. I told them that if they ever called again, I would contact the Idaho AGs office. Now 208-714-5209 calls with the message to respond to 866-915-5209. No human ever answers that number or wherever it is forwarded to.

They called me from 866-915-5209 and talked to some sleeze bag Ms. Crawford, so she said and she was very rude, obnoxious, impolite and enterupted when you talk all the time. I sure hope that  this sleeze bag cannot reproduce. Then on another occassion I got a call from same number,Michael Sebastian and he was the same way. Either time they would not give me a first name. I think they never give you the right name either way. But demand from you to beg your neighbors, family  and friends for $5.00 a month. Then they want you to give them your checking account number so that they can take the $5.00 every month from your checking account. Then they steal all your money and say that it was a computer glitch. They like to lie to you and threaten you. I've contacted the AG office, bbb and the government on them and gave them a copy of the phone calls, recorded calls and a paper file i've been kepping on these scum bags. One said he was in Canada and for me to come there, like he was really man enough to do something when you hide behind a phone all day. Get a real worthwhile job.

I got a similar message.  He either mumbled or didn't give his name of the company he represents nor did he actually state what the nature of his call was, just veiled threats if I didn't call back.  I personally feel that by remaining hidden is a tipoff that this is a phishing or identity theft scam.  Don't return the calls because like spam that only tells these people that your number is valid.  We get several calls from different voices claiming to be different parties (one earlier this week claimed to be "Santos Air". What the hell is that?) but the common thread is they always ask for the wrong name and when they give a company name it's someone with whom I've never done business.

May 2, 2011 - No caller ID "Unknown Unknown". Caller identified himself as "Moses" and spoke with an Arabic accent. Asked for my daughter by her married name. Indicated he needed to send her a fax but didn't have a working telephone number for her. Said that she had given him my number as an emergency contact number. Told me to have her call him at 866-915-5209 xt6261. Called back yesterday, May 3rd, indicating he had not heard from her and it was urgent that she call him so he could get "this important document" to her for her signature. Told him not to bother calling me back again and If she didn't return his call it was his problem, not mine.

When I called back to find out what these guys wanted,
I was told that I had an old credit card bill that I never paid.
When I looked into it, it turns out that they were right (oops!).  
I was able to settle my account for half the amount owing.

I just received a call from this unknown PITA.  I do not know who it is (nor do I care).  The recorded message is as follows:

I'm sorry if I come across as prejudiced but I just received a message from this person, most likely from a call center in central Pakistan because I couldn't understand a freaking word he said EXCEPT - "...it is in your best interest to call my office...." - etc.....

I have been receiving this call as well. But they ask you to return the call they do not say your name.  I figure if they do not say my name they are calling the wrong person.

Received a call from this company but the names that he asked for was my brother and myself but used my maiden name. My brother and I have never signed anything finanacialy together.
