I had the same thing happen to me. He had broken English and said he was calling regarding a claim against me wanted my home and business address so he could serve me with papers. I have not moved in almost 7 years, so anyone that I've had business with would have both my home and work address. He would call 6-10 times per day, but leave only one message. When I tried to call him back, the line just has a fast beep, and doesn't take incoming calles. He did this for three days and then stopped. He did not leave any valid contact information only referenced a claim number.

caller calling from unknown company, caller male very poor english speaking suggesting im in big trouble and first said he was a private investigator so when i asked for his license number he places me on hold, then get back on phone and says he is a server and needs no licesne. So ok he wants to verify a home address, states some address unknown and says I will be served tomorrow. But if i want to avoid this I can pay them a fee to avoid payment.? Really.
