Caller left a message claiming to be Bruce Shepherd from MPS.  Sounded suspiciously similar to Glen Sparks so not sure if that's his real name.  Same spiel, $25,000 giveaway sponsored with my name and number.  Didn't sign up for anything like that.  Most likely a phishing attempt.  Didn't call them back.

Just received the same call and $25,000 message.  Thanks to the posts on this site, I know there is no reason to call back

got the same message when I called, I was transferred about 5 times before someone asked to verify name and address and what State I was calling from.  I was put on hold for about a minute and then got the fast busy tone.  I did not call back.

Received automated msg to call and claim my $25,000, knew this was a scam, but called anyway.  

So "I won 2 airline line tickets" and all I had to do is come down to "claim them" at a Direct Buy Showroom.  I would part of an exciting a 90 minute presentation where one lucky winner would get $25,000 in cash or in home repairs/upgrades. Needless to say, I said NO an asked to be removed.

Do people really fall for this crap?

Got a call yesterday from Glen Sparks from the "Official Notification Group" for a "contest submitted some time within the last year for a $25,000 giveaway.  When they left the message, they didn't say who it was in regards to.  Must be a phishing attempt.  Haven't called them but I'm sure it would go something like they want you to give them your name, address, phone number, social security number, your bank account number (so that they can "wire money into (read "out of") your account").  Not falling for that one.

Caller states he's Glen Spiker from the official notification group.
Asked to call him for ?????
