I picked up the phone, and got a "click"... so I hung up. I called the number back, and it was some sort of research place. It asked if I wanted to page the individual... hmmmm... I selected that option, and it asked me for my number, which I entered as 716-555-1212. :) Hopefully, they are on automatic dial, and will have to pay a fee each time they attempt to return my call.

This number was on my Caller ID at 7:57 PM. I called it back at 11:45 PM and got a recording saying the number has been disconnected or is no longer in service!

I get calls from this number all the time.  Every day of the week, and all hours.  Usually, if I pick up, I am connected to a dead line, which is the best possible scenario.  I just wish they would quit cluttering up my caller ID system!  What a colossal waste of people's money!

I just got a call from 866-938-1374.  I said hello and got a click at the other end.  Called the number back and the recording said the number is no longer working.

This number keeps calling me...when I answer, I get a click.  Then we call back and get a recording stating that the call did not go through and please try again later.  This is SO beyond annoying and HAS to be violating the "do not call" registry.

I just rec'd a call from this number today Saturday May 30, 2009 @ 4:16PM PST.  The phone rang 2 xs and when I answered they h/u.

I posted an ad up on craigslist for something I've been trying to sell and put my home phone number on the ad.  I know that's not recommended but it's difficult to sell anything if you don't do it that way.  I have a feeling that these fraudulent companies look through CL ads for phone numbers and then do a test call to see if anyone picks up.

Also when I called the number back I heard a recording stating that the number is disconnected.
