Debt Collector
Just so everyone knows: YOU CANNOT BE ARRESTED FOR A LOAN.

It's a civil matter not a criminal one. Companies that say otherwise are breaking the law and should be reported to the proper authorities with all the information you have on them. Try to get names, numbers and dates of calls including unanswered calls to your voice-mail. There are laws protecting citizens from harassing/threatening/abusive phone calls no matter if there is civil debt involved. You do not give up those right when you sign a loan.

I used to work for part GM and after being laid off I took a job in collections. This company VRM group I used to work for. The information I am about to provide is to help people. I worked for this company for a short period of time to find out all of there illegal practices that they promote.
Be aware if this company calls you. Granite they are collecting on legitimate debts for the most part. There payday loans are legitimate, but there credit card debits they try to collect are usually in most cases are out of statute. By out of stat I mean they have been written off by the bank and they should be uncollectible but these people try to collect the debt anyways. Do not make a payment on these accounts because it renews the debt for 7 years. Most states the statute of limitations is 7 years but check your state laws. It goes by your last payment date. This company will try to collect them anyways. They buy these zombie debts usually for .0035 cents on the dollar and try to collect the face value. So if they have a $5000.00 balance they only paid $17.50 for that account. Ridiculous isn't it?
Another big law they break that you want to be aware of if you are dealing with them is they will add money onto the balance that you actually owe. For example if you owe a debt for $800.00 they train people to get the debtor on the phone and say they owe triple the balance in this case would be $2400.00. I never did this but have seen others take advantage of people. This is a total violation of the law and could be interpreted as fraud.
I plan to go to channel 2 news to report there illegal activity and I am in the process of writing a book that will help the average consumer. I have inside documents that supports and promotes there employees to break the law. I have been in this industry for three years and have a lot of knowledge to help the average consumer.
They will also look up your county and threaten to sue you if you don't make arrangements. That’s a lie they won't do anything.
I recommend not dealing with these people. If you do tape record all of your conversations with them. Soon VRM will be another boarded up building. Stand up for your rights and good luck.

They will refuse to give you there address if you ask them but it is:

There address is:
Vision Receivable Management Group
21 South Rosseler Avenue
Cheektowaga, NY, 14206

Hope this information is helpful.

I received a call and was told that I had a file placed in this office.  I asked to speak to a supervisor because I didn't like the tone of the representative I was speaking to.  While this wasn't a good experience, Ms. Gordell was kind enough to grant me an arrangment I was able to afford to repay this loan.  I didn't realize the horrific fees that are associated with payday loans. At least I know it's over. I settled my loan out for 100 less than it would have cost and my concious is clear.

This company is nuts. I took out a payday loan and paid it back within a 2 week period and because I paid it off early, they think they are intitled to another payment. I explained I paid it off prior to the due date and they are still trying to collect another payment even though I sent them proof that my $250.00 loan was paid in full along with a $25.00 fee for the loan. I refuse to answer their calls and I would advise all to stay away ffrom these people.

Today is the first day i got a call from these people. Same thing as everyone else, threatened me with arrest and a summons, However there is one difference, in April 2009 we filed for chapter 7 BK and everything was included in the BK, it was discharged in July 2009 and closed August 2009. I was represented by a attorney and i am notifying his office today as well as the FTC and the BBB. Thank you

A message was left on our phone from this number. The voice was male and very very serious. He said he was calling because a complaint had been filed and was giving us a chance to settle. He said the name so fast I couldn't understand him. I tried calling back and the recorded lady also said the name to fast for me to understand her. I was to press #1 with a complaint number. She kept repeating the same thing over and over. I did not press #1. I was very leary of the reason for the call. I tried to reverse look up the number but got nothing than look it up by the phone number and found this site. Thank You for waring us.  Things are so bad right now. Why are these people doing this.

I am being harassed by these people behind someone elses bill.  I have told them on more than one occasion to stop calling my personal cell number and they keep calling anyway.  Then the person got smart a Lisa Cambell. Said Because the last name of the phone and the person who is call are the same the assumed I am responsible in some way for this person.  My cell number is not even in my name, so I know that is a lie. Please help

Got a phone call tonight from a 888 468 7870 looking for someone else and was told to call 866 939 3388.  When I asked for the name of the company I was given VRM group.  When I attempted to ask the person on the other end her name which she didn't give me a name.  She was rude and stated that she  wasn't going to be treated like a child because asked her for info and told her that the person she was looking for didn't reside etc.

I keep getting calls from 866-966-9926. They tell you to call back to 866-939-3388. I don't know who these people are. If I owe money, I want it in writing. I will not talk to them. I may get an attorney I know to give me advise as to how to deal with these people.
