I got several calls from this number and also 8669556799, with a message about high cholesterol. No one in my household has any trouble with this. Not sure where they got my number.

Got the same letter oday, so I googled the number, expecting it to be a scam. And I was right, huh?

got a letter on 1-10-13 stating i won $1295.00 in free tickets. claiming to be United Airways had the #1-866-955-6798 and i was to call them. signed by the VP Jane Cae, the letter was mailed from phoenix az. it had no return address on it. the letter head was a copy with no other info.

I got a letter with this number about 2 round trip tickets from United Airways and how they tried to contacted us serveral time and it was signed by a Jane Cae Vice Presidant. What a scam!

I received a letter in the mail from "United Airways" saying that I qualify for an award of 2 round trip airline tickets for travel anywhere in the continental US from any major international airport. They claim to have attempted to contact me several times without success and that I have until Feb. 13th to claim or they will issue the vouchers to an alternate. The number 1-866-955-6798 is provided as their contact. Signed, Jane Cue, Vice President. The letter doesn't look like it was printed on official company letterhead. SCAM!!!

Got another call but hung up when answering machine picked up. Called ID showed 866-955-6798 and unavailable followed.
Don't american's have enough problems right now without having to lye victim to all the creative scams going on out there.
What can we do to stop these? Any ideas?

Interesting. "Victim" (first message in this thread) reported on Jan. 21 that the message left on his phone was a woman's voice, laughing. I got the same thing on March 20. I wonder if this is a new social engineering technique, curious people inclined to call back an incomplete message of a laughing woman, thinking it might have been a real call from a real friend. Hard to identify the voice of someone laughing. Just a thought. Shame to see that much cleverness so misused...

This number keeps calling my home. They ask for my husband and when I say he's not here, they hang up. I called them back and there was a message to leave your name and number to be removed. Why should I have to call them and leave a message, when I am on the Do Not Call List. Is this illegal for them to call?

I had someone else call my house from another number and asked my questions, I responded that I was on the list and they said, they have found a way around it.

I got a crank call with some idiot lady laughing at the other end. Obviously a fraudulent company. beware

Caller said he was from BMW Administrative Services about an offer to extend my factory warranty.  I specifically asked him if he represented BMW and he said yes.  He had info on my car, model year, ownership info, etc.  Scary.

I was suspicious as I already have a BMW warranty to 100,000 miles and am only half-way there.

I pretended I was interested and he transferred me to a "manager" (closer).  I asked the manager if he was with BMW of North America, the car company and he hung up without another word.

Call back is a robotic voice offering to accept a message or remove you from system.  Don't touch it.

Further research online says that this is a car warranty scam.  

HANG UP.  DON'T TALK TO THEM.

tired of the calls and no message. How are they benefiting from harrassing us?

got a calling from this idot today asking about our vehicle. person did not know english very well.so i kept asking him WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT he finally hung up. By the way he knew what type of car I have (make,model and year) Very scary!!! I'm on the DNC list now leave me alone you idot!!!!!!!!!! go flip burgers or something

had my name and the make and year of my old car, said they were dealer processing and hung up when i said i owned it

They called and left message that they are a vehicle comfirmation company

I get a call from this number about twice a week ! Refuse to leave a message so I ignore but it's annoying not to say "very rude" Why is this harrassment legal ??

Ignored a call from this number 11:38 pst.  This is the second time I've received a call from this number, last time it was 6 days ago at 11:35 pst.  Calls ignored both times.
