Getting a call weekly from this number.  A Dr. Downing wants me to call him back but leaves no personal information as to who or where he's calling from.  Once I get more information, I'll let you know.

First call came Benson, NC:  919-701-3072  Recruiter Brad didn't seem very versed in company profile.  I Googled the company while he was talking.  Discussion board mentioned their interest in 401k, IRA, or savings accounts.... said just wait for the question.  Sure enough, the recruiter asked if I had any.  I played along.  He seemed quite excited after I said yes to the question of is it at least 45,0000.  HMMM.  45k must be the threshold for whatever their scheme is.  Just received second call from Emily in Minnesota: 952-466-7010  She's so looking forward to our meeting and going over my portfolio.

I just received a call from them and it just didn't sound right.  I never heard of them before so I went to the BBB and they had 3 complaints for my city.  However; I couldn't see the reports.  so then I just googled them for reviews and found this.

Thank God because I was told a recruitor will be calling my house today.  Now I am prepared.

Thank you all for keeping this going.  People are evil when they prey upon out of work folks.

I have found on this Posting site One person that says they got a lot more interviews. Isn't that the point?
I talked to a woman this morning and she did send their "software", it doesn't look too professional but if it gets me more interviews I'm in.
I will not be inviting anyone over for coffee to sell me insurance, If that is the price of admission I won't be doing anything further either.

I recd a call from"Jenn", yesterday & today, @ 877 651-9478...regarding my resume....thought she said co. name was work savers hire. Googled & got to this blog. Great info! Will not call her back, however info must be coming from Careerbuilder where I recently reposted my resume.
Anyone know how this is occurring or if we can get Careerbuilder involved?

He's obviously making a living off being LAME. I will jump on the chance to do business with a company that calls me and states "I have some questions about your resume'" He is leaving messages that misrepresenting his intent. I left him a message that will NOT misrepresent how I feel about this company or "bob jones"

Bob Jones must live out of hotels, because the number that came up on my phone was a local number that would put him in NW Ohio today...I actually answered the phone when it rang to find the standard recorded message from Bob, including the 866 number (Red Flag# 1 - If you want to speak with me, call me yourself) I called the local number, and it immediately went to a VM system for WSR (Red Flag #2). So, then I decided to run the number through Google, and found all of this information (Red Flag #3)... 3 Strikes... Your OUT ! ! ! !

I got several calls from work save retire after posting my resume to career builder and indeed.com.  Finally agreed to meet with the retirement planner at my house.  He turned out to be an insurance salesman pushing an annuity.  He asked alot of personal questions about my finances, which I didn't answer.  I didn't buy anything from him.  Have not heard from a recruitor since then.  Looks to me work save retire is trying to prey on job seekers.

I'm glad I checked this out. I got a call from Bob Jones from the same phone #. A 1-800# ALWAYS raises a red flag with me. I returned the call and got put on hold. I have more things to do than to hold. I just uploaded my resume to Career Builders this week. I guess this really is the price you pay, but I know not to waste any more time with them.  Thanks guys.

Wow - I was researching the call I got yesterday from Bob. Same story. I had decided not to call back and then guess what> The phone rang and it was Stephenie from Work Save Retire. I am so glad I spent time researching. I told her I was not interested and to put me on "do not call" list. Thanks to everyone who submitted a comment.

The number is from an org called work save retire.  I posted my resume on CareerBuilder and a few other sites and started getting unsolicited emails from various head hunting and less than scrupplous sounding individuals - price you pay for exposing yourself on the interwebs I guess.  Then yesterday, Bob Jones called from the above number and left a message saying they wanted to speak with me about my resume.  I called Bob this morning and got his v-mail, so I left a message asking him to get back to me.  When I got home this afternoon, Teresa from Work Save Retire left the same message as Bob.

I figure their just mining the job boards looking for people to prey on.  No idea what their deal is since we keep missing one another, but they're either trying to sell my services for a bit off the top or a finders fee, or they're up to something nefarious.  Their website http://worksaveretire.ning.com/ doesn't give me much encouragement.

Good luck!

Same call, they gave me a recruiter who gave me access to resume software and a job finder gadget that have really helped me with my search.  The recruiter has also been helping me with strategies for my search that have really been working.  Still dont have a job but I've had several interviews and much more response out of my resume.

"Bob Jones" eh?  My cell phone voice mail was left by "Mary Smith."  Yeah, she wanted to talk about my resume.  I won't be calling them back.  Obviously trying to sell me something.

Caller left a recorded message from "Mary Smith" saying she has questions about my resume (which was posted on a job board). The caller ID said 704-612-2477, but the recording said to call "Mary Smith" at 866-994-0381.

Same old, same old.  I've placed my resume on a job board and "Mary Smith" has called me twice asking me to call her back on (866) 994-0381.  The recording of the call gives her number as  (919) 439-3666.

I called the number to see who was messig with me and the representative who answered hung up when I asked her who the company was and why they were calling my number.  Looks like she didn't wish to share their claimed "vast network and years of industry experience" with me.

I got a similar call from Mary Smith and she left the 866 number.  I called back and got a totally different person who said she was taking Mary's calls.  I got the spiel about the job search but no specific job to fill.  To be part of their program I was told that would have to meet with a financial advisor in my area.  They wanted to  come to my home.  When I said no she suggested meeting in a library.  When I suggested that anyone who was in a business like recruiting that did not have a physical office to meet clients in was not a professional organization.  I spent about 15-20 minutes with this person and when she indicated they wanted to send me an e-mail with a link to their site alarm bells went off.  Maybe they are sending a virus or a trojan horse.  In the end the phone went dead so I assumed this sales person hung up.  The BBB gives them a B- rating.  The company is in Minesotta.  The information on the BBB site indicated they sold insurance.  I'm staying away from these folks.  Sounds liks some sort of scam.

You know have left me messages twice at work.  I cannot call you back and looked up your number and apparently this is some sort of scam, not interest in me or my resume at all.  I'm asking you to please stop calling me immediately.  Thank you.
