This is not a toll free "800" number, it is the international long distance code for the island nation of Jamaica. You are charged international and long distance rates for calling this number. Other international/long distance area codes are 809, 284, and 649.

Jamaica  just called me (David Washington) offered the same as above 2.5 million bucks and a new Mercedes. Obviously it's a scam so I didn't bother picking up. Just going to list it to avoid people from getting scammed.

I just received a call from this number. My caller ID said Jamaica. A Jamaican gentleman told me I had just won a new silver Mercedes Benz and $250,000. He asked if i remembered signing up for this sweepstakes, i saud no. He told me to go to a CVS and get a $350 MoneyPak card in order to cover the taxes on the cash prize. He said he would call me back in a half hour to give me time to go get the card. He said UPS would be delivering the cash prize and new car along with a US Marshal.
After he hung up, I checked into paying taxes on winnings and found that the IRS collects taxes on winnings at the same time that you file your income taxes and that you should never have to pay taxes up front on a 'win'. Too bad, I would have liked a new car! ;-)

Had a v-mail message on my cell phone from a heavily accented man saying that I won $2.5 million and a brand new 2013 Mercedes Benz.  I didn't bother calling back because I knew it was a scam but still thought I'd report it.

I also got a call from this Jamaican number. The heavily accented Voice told me I won a car and a briefcase full of money, $250,000. All I had to do was go to WalMart, get a Money Pak card for $495 then call them back with the card numbers and all my prizes would be released to me.  He called back later and I told him I believed this to be a scam and he hung up on me.  He would get the card numbers then the money you spent.

SOME [removed:lang] FROM JAMAICA! Says I won a car and money from PCH. I hung up cuz it was some foreign [removed:lang] and then called back like 14 hours later and said I got a missed call from the number. he said COMPANYS CLOSED... CALL U BACK IN DE MURNING!! like a [removed:lang]
