Got a call from a lady saying, I won 50,000 from shopping at a store. She wanted the money to be sent to e in check on wired to my account. I told her are you scammning me and she said no and i agreed to have the money tomarrow by moneygram. But an ass-kickin is going to to be waiting for him or her instead.

wow thats funny, because the same thing happened 2 me. a lady named melissa called me w/ the last 4 to my credit card. and said i had won 25,000us. and that i only had to pay 80.oo bucks. afetr i sent the money gram to someone named nicolette dobson, i could not even get in contac w/ anyone. i been getting calls from a lady named kelly austin and she now wants me to send her even moer money!!! i recently called her back and confronted her w/ the info that i collected, informed ehr that i was aware of the scam. she said "IF YOU THINK ITS A F****N SCAM THEN DONT CALL BACK" now this dose not sound like anything a lottery rep. would say. i dont know how she got the last 4# on credit card...but she got me. think about all the other people she's been scamming. it unreal.

I got the same call and she ia suppose to show up to my house Oct.2, 2008,
I knew this was a scam. When that person comes to get that check so will the police.

I got a call from a lady saying she is from Global Sweepstakes something or another.  Told me I won $150,000.  Asked general questions to verify me and my address.  Asked if I wanted the prize wired or check.  Duh no way on the wired. Anyway, she told me to call a Kelly Austin at this number.  Gave me a conformation number and everything.  Before calling an area code that is not familiar, I look it up.  What do you know....here we are.  Glad I did not make the call....Call to Jamaica is a fortune!

my husband got the same kind of call, but he filled out an over the phone sweepstakes. they called back from this number saying he was the third place winner of 150.000 dollars wanting us to give them our acocunt number spo they can wire the money to our account but we said no. they was susposed to be someone with our check showing up at our house to give us the check but they never did and we keep calling back but they arnt answering. i think its a scam n im glad we didnt give them our account info. but this company was called On-con international an they had a uraban accent. but it was the same exzact number.

If you actually sent the moneygram, the best you can do is report the whole thing to the police.  Don't let it go, but don't expect your money back.

They ask for Moneygrams instead of a credit card or check because those forms of payment will give you some protection.  Moneygrams are like sending cash to random people. NOT advisable.

It sounds like you sent the money to the scam artists. No sense calling them you will never get your money back. If anything they will call again and want more money.

Hang up on these crooks, they are the lowest for of life, if they have one.

SHE SAID THAT I HAD TO SEND A MONEYGRAM OF 150.00 DOLLARS TO PROCESS THE INSUARENCE AND THE CHECK TO BE SEND . I BEEN CALLING HER TO GET MY MONEY BACK AND HER PHONE IS GOING DIRECTLY TO A VOICEMAIL .
