Got a call from this number a few days ago.

While at my mother's the other day (July 30th @2:14 pm est) her land-line phone wrang, led caller I.D. read "Cell Call: 876-892-8598". I answered and the person asked for my mom by first and last name. When I asked who is calling, they changed their voice and said in a wicked tone "F*** YOU" and hung up. Three minutes later the phone wrang again and the led read "Incoming Call: 876-892-8598". I answered again and the same exact voice from the previous call said "F*** YOU" and hung up. Upon finding this sight I advised her to simply ignor any calls that start with 876. I hope this bit of info helps someone as the previous posts helped me...Thank you

Got a phone call last week from this phone number.  They called back twice when I kept hanging up on them.  
Their claim:  They are from the Federal Trade Commission calling me to inform me that I won $450,000'ish something dollars for 2nd place in the Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes.  It will be tax free, etc.  **Immediately the FTC calling me to tell me about a PCH winning was wrong b/c PCH would have contacted me directly.  
They asked am I over the age of 18, have a valid drivers license, and passport?  **Red Flag #2: Who asks a prize winner in the US from as US company if they have a passport?!?  
They said they would send me an initial check of $4800 to be deposited to cover any outstanding taxes/fees and then a certified carrier would deliver the full amount a few days later.  They asked me to just stay on the phone to confirm some information.  At this point, I wasn't giving them ANY info, so I hung up.  
A check still arrived the following week.  Called the FTC.  It's bogus as was expected.  They are calling from JAMAICA!!!  I'm sure they would try to talk me into sending them some sort of money.  I have both been the victim of identity theft and the ACTUAL winner of a REAL sweepstakes and know that if you REALLY won, they just give it to you.  No phone calls, no info.  One day you just get a check in the mail and that's it.  They still keep calling, but I've reported them and just don't answer the phone anymore.

They claim their name is Mr. David Kelly, and keep calling to see if I sent the money over yet.
