This scammer called me - three times (I did not tell him not to call back, and he said he would). First day he called was on 7 April 2012 (couldn't understand him, was in busy area). The second day was 17 April 2012 (10 days later).  He has a heavy Indian accent.  I stayed with him on the phone for approximately 25 minutes for the second phone call and approximately 25 minutes for the third phone call.  The first phone call lasted less than 5 minutes... Here is what happened during the second and third phone calls :

Second call :
I was given instruction to get a piece of paper and a pen (he woke me up at 5:45 A.M.). He told me I was a second place winner of $3.5 million and a new Mercedes Benz car (color of my choice).  His name is supposedly "Dave Sears".  The only information he knew about me was my name and my phone number.  He gave me a "shipping number", at which point I went on the net to start looking this guy up (I knew it was a scam from about this point on).  The shipping number and code was "BI2009USA" and "BCH", which are obviously fake.  It is "international" shipping information.  The money is 95% tax free.  He told me to go to CVS and buy a Greenvot scratch card for $505 for the shipping.  He repeated all this information frequently and had me tell him what I would win (in attempt to get me pumped up and focused on the prize.  I accused him of being a scam, to which he brushed off and basically said "do you want the money or not?"  Eventually, he then said he would call back at 4:00 P.M., as I had told him I needed to got to work at 6:00 A.M. (he had asked and I needed to get ready).

Third call :
At this point, I fully understood the card idea. I wanted to figure out what he was scamming me on.  Eventually, he retold me about the card, to which I know understand.  I asked him if I would be giving money to him or UPS, which he basically said for shipment of the money, not directly stating that the money would go to him.  An obvious scam, I told him to please give the winnings to the next person on the list and that I did not want any money or the car.  He asked me what I told him and then he hung up.

They are getting desperate, trying every trick in the book. Read on for more info......

They are indeed low class, ignorant, uneducated criminals!
But for the new potential victims, read on!
These are nothing more then a group of Misfits in Kingston,Jamaica trying very hard to rip you off!! B*****DS from Jamaica using "American" names, they can barely speak English.
These B*****DS are NOT in the USA,they cant do anything to you, except ring your phone.
They will try anything to get you to believe them, it's total horsecrap.
We have heard it all!! From $750,000 to 5 Million dollars, free Mercedes,BMW and trucks.
They will tell you that you have a free Government "Grant" from $5000 to $8000....
One time I supposedly won (get this) $5 Million AND a Pearl White 2011 Mercedes 2 door AND 2 gold bars..to be delivered by a FBI agent with UPS! The FBI is now delivering prizes, whats next...Pizza? HAHAHA.
Best thing to do with them....
1> Give them NOTHING but a hard time, no names,no addresses..even better make up stuff!
2> Waste their time! Keep them talking! Ask stupid questions and to have thing repeated..over and over.
3> RECORD the calls! Post them on Youtube, play them at parties, it's a laugh riot!!!
4> Talk crap to them! ask them questions about their sex life, or lack of it.
5> LISTEN to the noises in the background! No joke..you will hear children, chickens, roosters,TV sets and people talking in their native language! These slobs are doing this from home on prepaid cellphones.
6> DON'T BE A VICTIM!!! Have FUN with them on the phone, give them NOTHING.
7> Google 876 scams, operation JOLT, Jamaica Scams.
8> Be AWARE that they use "MagicJacks" to make it look like they are in the USA.They look like they are in areacodes such as 702 (Nevada) 305 (Florida)..you get the picture. If it SOUNDS like Jamaican..it IS!
9> DO NOT EVER..I REPEAT...EVER call them back! The 876 areacode is NOT a tollfree number.Calling them back places you right at the top of the "Suckers List" and MANY of them will "Work" you!
10> Check ALL strange numbers that call you HERE and other sites, this crap is widespread, but very easy to control if your willing to look for info and fight back.....Good luck! and have FUN on their dime

Telemarketer
Caller claimed to be from UPS to notify me of a registered shipment with a check for 3.5 million dollars. Clearly a scam. I asked if this was Publishers Clearing House, and he asked if I had already been notified. Caller would also not place me on their do-not-call list. Rude! Watch out!
