i have received calls from this number--they are relentess--they knew my grown  daughters name and that she had student loans out--they told me that the FBI was investigating those loans and in order to clear it up the FBI needed to send me papers with a gold seal on it but that i'd have to send them $3000.00 first--they told me to send the money to a Mr. Edward Hemmingway in Trenton. Michigan

Its a scam.. They called me also and if you google the number.. read more. They told me we won millions of dollars but need to send a check for thounds so they can release the money. I had the number blocked by my phone service. and am in the process of reporting to Better Business bur. Good luck .

Better Business Bureau has issued a national alert about phony debt collectors that are calling consumers nationwide and claiming that they have defaulted on a payday loan and will be arrested if they don?t pay immediately.

Claiming to be lawyers, the scammers say they are with the ?Financial Accountability Association? or the ?Federal Legislation of Unsecured Loans? and often have the victim?s Social Security, old bank account numbers or driver?s license numbers as well as home addresses, employer information and even the names of personal friends and professional references.

Well, they're going to whack your phone bill with a hefty charge anyway as that's part of the scam.

This person left a message saying they were the international revenue service and that I had an unclaimed check.  Called and they wanted me to wire them money by Western Union and said they would drop off my check tonight or tomorrow.  I asked them their name and address and he said the international revenue service.  I said there is no international revenue service.  Do you meant the Internal Revenue Service?  And he said "Yes, the Internalnational Revenue Service." to make it sound different. Obviously a scam.  Whitepages says it is a Jamaican number.  They also swore at me and said that if I didn't send them a check they would kill me and my family.
