caller id said Jamaica, I never answer calls from numbers that I do not know

got a call to call this number and claim my prize from publishers clearing house

Same guy called on my cell phone. Asked if I remembered "playing" PCH and said he was a driver for them. I said "hun I haven't 'played' PCH in over 10 years" and he Hung up. I called the number back to set what it said and it rang once and went to voicemail. Lol guess I won't be getting a call back. Lol oh DARN!

I didn't answer, no voicemail was left for me. I didn't recognize the area code either!

I just received a call from this number and the message said it was transferring me to another number. I hung up immediately and recalled it to see and no one answered but it gave the number as 430-430-3031.

keep calling and didnt answer.

same thing  happened to me-claim of prize and for me to get pay  pal cards for 1950.22 which I did not at Walmart

Same experience as others on dec 16, 2013, called me twice so far so I blacklisted his number on my phone.

Guy with Jamacian accent called with the same Publisher's Clearing House story you are also telling. He told me to call right back and ask for a James Holly. Guess he changed the last name since it's almost Christmas, ha ha ha!  Since he was 45 minutes away I asked him to confirm my address. (I just wanted to see how much information he had on me.) He said it was programmed in the GPS and he knew where to go. I kinda challenged him on that and he hung up!

Same as most everyone else here, with variations in the names of course, but the instructions and phone numbers are identical!  After the call I too Google'd it, and here I am...confirming what I suspected right from the start, (well, confirming what I already knew, after seeing the warnings in emails & on the news). . .!!!  I don't expect they'll call again, since I firmly questioned the BOZO about 876 being a toll free number, and that I didn't believe it was!!!?!  Whatever. . .

I just hope they aren't successful and screw ANYBODY over - to the point THEIR phone bills are too high to continue on!?!!?!  SOOO...what I suggest to anyone who gets, and recognizes the 876 or any other 'scamming' area codes, is to play along for a minute or so then excuse yourself and politely ask them to hang on for just a moment so you can ?!?(put out a fire, let the dog out, whatever!!?).  Then set the phone down and see how long they wait before giving/hanging up!!!  Maybe even check in with 'em a few times and briefly apologize and that you'll be back ASAP and plead them to keep hanging on(cuz this is just so EXCITING!!!)  Rack up their bill!!! (Unless they called your cell phone and you have limited minutes of course?!?)

But my question is for PCH, whom these low lifes claimed to represent, and I suspect somehow got my information from - because that is just BS!!!  I truly hope that PCH indeed DID NOT...sell my information to them, and it was obtained by someother illegal means!!?!. . .otherwise???!? :(

Received several calls from this number and a man with a foreign accent.  Said he was from publishers clearing house.   Told them I did not know what he was talking about and he hung up.  Scam.

I received a call from this number.  They also told me I had won $ and a car from Publishers Clearning House.  They ask if I was home and I told them no that I was at work.  They asked if I could go home and I told them not until 5 o'clock.  They told me to call the number  back when I got home and they would deliver my prizes.

This is a scam from Jamaica. I have had this call before last year.
Publishers Clearing House notifies you directly just as they advertise on TV, not from a foreign country and they don't require money out of you for your prize.

I received a call from this number at 9:12 AM this morning asking for my addresss, and what time I would be home so a Publisher's Clearing House package could be delivered to my home. First, the only mail I open if known bills, and insurance papers.  Everything else goes in the trash since I have paperless billing on most of my important accounts. They claimed they were in Alabama delivering packages to the latest winners.  I ask if they could bring it by my work, and they said no! I said I didn't want anything brought to my house, and they said they would give it to someone who really needed it, and quickly hung up. They never even ask for my work address, and I would not have given it to them anyway.

Same here just happened to day all the stuff u said they told me  -_- and they asked if I had $600 and some dollars today to give to then and I told them no and no one called me back lol

Mary, sadly, you will discover that the authorities can not/ will not do anything to solve this problem and that the "Do Not Call List" is useless in trying to combat these black stained rodents from Jamaica. It is up to us to exterminate this vermin. We must continue to be aggressive, offensive and relentless in our tactics!

I was first contacted by these filthy, little animals, when I received a call from a "John Baker" (today's call was from a chigger calling itself, "John Brown.") In any event, this "John" was calling to tell me I had won 2.5 million dollars from "Mega Millions" in Las Vegas. It instructed me to get a Green Dot Money card from CVS, load it with $499.25 to pay for my "registration fees." A few days after this call, I was shocked to see this particular scam featured on ABC World News. During that segment, they played the audio of a conversation between an elderly woman - who had already sent them $85,000 - and one of these vile creatures.

Just got the call from Frank Miller. UPS driver from PCH. At "my estate" and wondering if we were home to accept the delivery. I made him tell me 3 times, then gave the phone to my husband. Frank hung up right quick!  It was on my work cell.

I bet he does not either...Yess scam scam scam!!

my experience is the same as all the others. A call from a man claiming to be a UPS driver. I won a car and $ but I needed to call Mr. James Chin at 876-447-4430 x9 before he could deliver (he'll be here in 45 minutes so I have to do it NOW) the confirmation number he gave me was 744028GM (he only gave me the number and told me to put my initials at the end of the number). He called back as I am writing this and when I told him I was on to him he was offended - how could I think such a thing when he is only trying to give me something? Bet he doesn't callback a 3rd time - lol!

I just got a call from this guy too a second ago, saying his name is Frank Miller (using a very strong foreign accent), calling from 876-430-3031.  He says that I won some prize from Publisher's Clearinghouse, and that he is a UPS delivery driver and will drop it off at my house but I need to call the manager for the details.  He says the manager is James Chin, and to call him at 876-296-3725 x9.  

Doing a google search, I see that area code 876 is from Jamaica.  I don't trust this at all!

My husband just received a call from this number saying the guy was from publishers clearing house. The BBB Has a scam warning out about this guy in jamaica. and other scams for publishers clearing house.

Called stating my mom won 150000 and Mercedes. Wanted to meet at Walmart. Scam!

He's just a Jamaican scammer. Ignore him.

Received "RESTRICTED" caller ID call.  Caller gave 876-430-3031 as number to call to collect Publisher's Clearing House prize.  An AT&T website says 876 area code is Jamacia and that scams involving 876 are common.  Further, one scam involves high international calling rates for calling the number.

My dad in california is getting calls from this number...Mr. James is the caller.  I don't know how much money he has sent these people.
