I got the same routine as many of the other comments only I played along for a while to piss them off. Once I decided to call them out on there mistake they got mad and started threatening and cursing me

This number called my phone today (876) 445-8855
Jamaica like a hundred times. I ignored it of course but eventually got tired of it and answered. I simply asked if he would please quit calling. And he screamed I won't quit calling until you die bi***. And hung up but proceeded to call back. I answered. He then claimed he knew where I lived and that he was coming to kill me. Please beware.

This man call me as well, I knew it was a scam so I waited for him to call back and I acted as a police officer he got very scared and hung up. Then he called Back a few more time threatening that he was going to send a bomb to my house and he said he worked for a terrorist group what a nut job. If this number calls you don't answer.!

A man with a foreign accent called & said his name was Frank Morgan.(1st clue of scam) Said he was with Publishers Clearing House & that I had won 4.5 million $$ & A new Mercedes Benz car. Gave me a ref # and said I was to call him back @ this #. Of course it wouldn't go thru & he immediately called back. I ran with it til he asked me to run to Dollar General.. CVS or Walgreens while we were on the phone to obtain a Tax registration card. When I said that was hilarious he said the prize guy named John Blake was 45 min away from me... I busted out laughing!! I had never given him any personal info.. especially not my address. These scammers are good at what they do & win the confidence of the elderly. Shame on them for this!

Received a call from this # on Mar. 28, 2014, saying I'd won 2.5 million.  From all the previous posts, it seems he is still at work.

Got a call from a guy who said he was from Publishers Clearing House on 01-28-14.  He asked if I was at home RIGHT NOW...Creepy question for a total stranger to ask me.  I just hung up.  He called back 2 times but I did not answer....and he did not leave a message.  Why are there so many creeps and scam artists in this world?  But then most bankers are not much better...they just have the corrupt laws on their side!  WooHoo!  Life is good anyway!

girlfriend got a call from (876)445-5601 "Jamaica" new E class mercedes and $250k. called them back to find out who they were and how they got the number got a voicemail. "Hey there good buddy! this is cletus from Tuscaloosa, AL you just won a new 1976 Chevy pickup and a new bassboat...ROLL TIDE!!!"

I got a phone call stating I was chosen by my cell number out of 5,000 people. I won $250,000 (tax free) and a 50in. flat screen TV from PCH (Publishing Clearing House). He stated his name was Joseph Taylor, and the PCH would be delivery my prize on today. The drivers would be in a 2013 GMC Pearl White Denali Van name Harold Greene and Judy Ernest. My confirmation # was LA505689321 pin# 0589. They were leaving from Alexandria, LA heading to my home with my winning. Everything was sounding good until he mention getting a $499.99 green dot card from CVS or Wal-Mart. I needed to call the phone number he was going to give me in order to get the card. I told him I didn't have $499.99, he did stated what about $250.00. I asked him if I won such a large amount of money take the $499.99 out of my winnings. He started talking he's a minister, been in church for 15 years and he wouldn't waste him time or my time scamming. I told him yes I too am a minister. To make a long story short (this was a 30 min phone call) I advised him I only had $5. He then said let me speak with my manager and I'll give you a call back.  I then blocked his phone number calling from Jamaica.

I keep getting a call from 876-445-3931 publishing clearing house, when I realize he was a scam I said no and hung up he called back with explicit language, the next day he called a gain and I caught him on it, he proceeded to tell me un imaginable things! I tried to report to my cell co. My tough luck, I can pay to block him, I feel they should b able to do something, someone's name must b attached to that ## somewhere?

A very persitant man called my phone twice from 1-876-445-3931. the first time he said he was with UPS and package was going to be delivered to my home and he needed to make sure i would be there because i was the first prize winner from some contest i never entered. I told him that UPS doesn't call to make sure i will be home and to not call again. He called again and told me he was with Merchants award center and that I won a million dollars and they needed to know what time I would be home to deliver it. I asked him what contest I entered and he said "listen sweetheart you are the winner of a 100 million dollars and i just want to deliver it to you" these people are ridiculous. So i fought back and called his number 20 times and told him that he won money and all he had to do was come over to collect it and talk to my nice police officer frends

Recived the call from 876 445 2069. I was told that I had won a lottery from a California casino. The man on the other end refered to him self as "Michael Moore". Reported this and a recording to my local police.

Received a call from 876-445-9184 telling me I won 2.4 million. So, he tells me that He is transferring me to the claims department. Could hear him passing the phone to his friend, Mr. George Golden. Mr. Golden says this is his badge# 781960. He is working with the Microsoft company and have won a Benz. In order for me to claim my prize and avoid the IRS from collecting taxes, I can claim my vehicle at any gas station. I also won two years of gasoline.
Next, he tells me that I need to pay 20% to have the vehicle delivered to me. So, I let them talk up to then. Told them that I am not interested. Hung up. Then Mr. so called Golden calls me back and tries to get me to send money.
Don't think so.
Got on the hotline to the attorney general and filed my report. Called my cell phone carrier and reported the scam.

As you can tell by the large number of recent posts here, these filthy, little animals have been very active over the past few months. I confirmed through other sources that this particular scam targets Seniors (which is why the foul smelling rodent who called you asked if you were over 65.)

Someone, claiming it was "John Baker" (apparently they think every white person in the US has "John" for a first name,) was the first to contact me. It claimed I had won 3.5 million dollars from "Mega Millions" in Las Vegas.  It also told me that in order to pay for "registration fees" I needed to get a Green Dot Money card from CVS to and load it with $499.25. I was then to call it back at the "876" number it provided (which it ensured me, was toll free) and receive further instructions.

As has been mentioned by  previous posters, these calls are being placed via Magic Jack and the audio quality is very poor. So poor, in fact, I had to abandon my recording of the call just to understand this worthless porch monkey.  If they should contact you again, please try to record the call. Thanks.

Same as above. Claimed I won 25,000,000 AND a new Mercedes. Asked if I was over 65 years old (I'm not)l Then asked my age. Said I would need to talk to his manager. I was suspicious from the beginning, and when I started asking questions about his company, his name and how it was that I won ( I don't participate in sweepstakes) he said there was static on the line and he would have to call me back. Never did call back.

Got a call today from a Scammer saying they were from Publishers Clearing House and I had won $850K and a new car and that I needed to call her Manager, Jabe Walker as soon as possible to claim at 1-876-445-3834.  She even asked me if I was going to be home in the next 45 minutes.   I quickly called the Publishers Clearing House Customer Service Fraud Department and they confirmed what I suspected.  It was definitely a scam call.  I gave PCH all the information and hopefully they can catch these criminals before they call someone who really believes their lie. Be warned my friends.  When in doubt, investigate.

THIS GUY SCAMMED HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS FROM MY ELDERLY PARENTS.SAID HE WAS FROM READERS DIGEST. SAID HE WAS WAYNE CARTER AND HAD THE MONEY SENT TO ST.JAMES JAMAICA. I ALSO GOT A CALL BACK FROM 187-618-7644 WHEN I TRIED CALLING THE 1-876-445-8490 NUMBER. ALSO USED ALIAS JESSIE JOHNSON AND ALSO GOT A CALL FROM A WOMAN "JOSIE" CLAIMING TO BE CUSTOMS.

He called me last week 11-23-2011, claiming that I won 2.5 mil but I need to do a JT140 form from WU with $499.  After I put him through God knows how many question, we hung up and I ignored his call backs.

Today, 11-29-2011 he calls me that I won 918,915.00 and I need to get a Green Dot prepaid card with $500 ready when the "team" drops the money at my house...

This guy keeps calling me w a foreign accent saying he is w publisher clearing or whatever and I won about $9000,000. He knew my address which is weird.He called a couple months ago (can't remember that number), but I called back and it said I did not have international dialing on my phone plan. This time he called w this 8764458490. I Hung up on him and proceeded to Google it. Not sure what his intentions are or how his scam works, but beware of this whack job!!!

Caller identified himself as "Wayne Carter" "CEO of Wal-mart" (said he was in New York when I asked).  Had a foreign sounding accent.
Said reference # for $5000.00 gift card needed to be given to my husband to claim at nearest local Wal-Mart store.  I asked for phone number to his "office" since caller ID came up "unavailable"
He gave me 1-876-445-8490, said it was toll free.  I called back and the number worked. Unfortunately, after reading this site and others, I will now have to check to see what kind of charges I just created on my phonebill since this number appears to be a scam and not a toll free number, but I don't know what his game is as I don't think these companies can get any money by what may be charged to me by making the call, but who knows nowadays.

Man who called said he was from Publishers Clearing HOuse and I have an unclaimed cashiers check for $980,000.  I also won a Wal*Mart gift voucher and all I need to do is purchase a Green Dot card and load the voucher onto the card.  Why use PCH in a scam is beyond me.
