12-07-2010 @ 16:11(EST) I mistakenly answered a call on my cellphone thinking it was an 866 number from my mortgage company. A Jamaican accented male asked for me by name. When asked "May I ask who is calling?", he mumbled some company name and said they were in Las Vegas. He quickly stated that they had a package delivery for me, so I sarcastically finished his sentence with "and all I need to do is send you some money, right?". He stumbled a bit and then recovered and, as if he was reading from the wrong cue card, told me that I had won $350,000. I once again finished his sentence with a more serious sounding "and all I need to do is send you some money?". He said yes and that he was going to transfer me to his manager. I then asked him for his name. He said Jeff Carter. Then I heard a series of beep sounds and I hung up. 1 minute later my phone rang as an "unknown" number then within another minute, 2 more calls came from "private" numbers.
