Got a call from this number. Was an accented guy.
Him: "How are you?"
Me: "Fine."
"Do you remember signing up for Publisher's Clearing House?"
"No."
It's hard to understand what he says next, but it's a question about my home address. I hang up on him.

Received a call from Jamaica.  Man said that I had won $2.5 million from Publisher's Clearing House.  He gave me three sets of confirmation numbers and said that someone would be coming to my house to deliver the prize.

He asked if I was alone and if I was at home or at work.   I told him I was at work.  He told me to get in the car and go home so that they could meet me to deliver my prize.   I played along and let him talk.  He asked if I was in my car yet and I said no.  He became angry and told me to get in the car to go home.

I told him that this didn't make any sense.  He then said F**k you, someone else will claim your money you f**king idiot.

** Understanding technologies involved I would imagine that someone could have my personal information and location from photos I've posted online and from other sources.  I'm certain that this is a low-level scam artist but I have my kids at home with a sitter.  I'm going home to check on them and clean my gun.  **

Prank Call
Just got a call from this guy.  My iPhone stated that it was from Jamaica.  He told me that he was with Publishers Clearing House, that I won a car and money.  I said,"Oh Wow!"  Then he asked if I wanted to claim my prize today, and where my location was.  I said that I was home and yes, I'd love to claim it today.  He said, "Do you know where Dollar General is? You will need to go there..."  I said, "Ok, I'm getting into my car.  I'm backing out of the driveway.  Vroom vroom.  I'm driving down the road on the way to Dollar General. Beep! Beep! I'm almost there..."  He said, "You are an idiot" and hung up.  LOL.

I got a call from 876-464-7681 and I couldn't hear anything on the other end. I tried hanging up and calling the number back, but my cell phone provider wouldn't allow me to make the call. A female voice recording kept coming on saying that I needed to pay my phone bill, which I didn't understand since my bill had just been paid and couldn't be due already. I don't know anyone in Jamaica so I'm wondering if this number could also be a part of the same scam.

Prank Call
My call was from 1-876-464-6588, caller gave his call back #as 909-248-4040. Claimed I was lucky winner of several Million $. Apparently the supplier of this largesse was Mega Million  Winner Circle. Upon my refusal of bank info, I was instructed to go to nearest Walmart to purchase a money pack card for $2.99 and call them back with 14 digit # listed there.  When I refused an d after lengthy dialogue, I was threatened with death.  It was claimed since they knew my name and address and if I do not call back within 5 minutes they would dispatch someone to kill me and that I would be dead by 2:00 p.m.  All this was in badly accented English, all very primitive. I sent report of this to several newspapers to warn of scam to avoid someone vulnerable to be taken in.

Got call 5mins ago, 876-464-3587 said Dave Bradley from UPS. Said I had a certified check coming from UPS and wanted to know if I would be home this evening. I believe he was attempting to make me say "YES" and my name over the phone as he was unable to tell me who it was for nor the address it was getting delivered to. I found a call quite amusing for a minute as I was w Telemarketer at 1 time and no they trying to trick you into giving information and just recording someone say yes. After a few minutes and me enjoying giving him.the run around, he started laughing as in he knew he was going to get nothing outta me and I finally told him all my calls are recorded he finally gave up. after he thought he disconnected the call I heard him talking with another female in a foreign language and children carrying on in the background. Definitely reporting him and this # to try to prevent him from  talking to people like our grand parents and those a little more gullible then the rest .

I got a call from 1(876) 464-0471 and the idiot who answered did his best to keep me on the line and resisted answering my questions directly.  I suspect this is to prolong the call to run up bogus charges.  I guess AT&T is collaborating with these criminals since they undoubtedly get their piece of the pie and do nothing to stop this criminal enterprise.   I have been on the DO NOT CALL list for years and regularly update it, but I see that the DO NOT CALL list is as useless as anything else run by the feds.

He called our house (same as you all said... had an accent, probably Jamaican). My sister answered but he asked for our mother by first and last name saying he was with UPS and there was a package scheduled to be delivered today at 2pm.  He went on to say that there was a shipping/processing fee of $150 that needed to be paid prior to delivery via Western Union.  By now my sister's radar had gone off:  Western Union!? NO WAY AM I WIRING YOU MONEY was her internal dialog.  She asked where the package was coming from and he said Los Vegas, Nevada so she hung up.  No way our mother had anything coming from Vegas.

BUT he called right back! 3 times!

So I answer....

"Hello"
"WHY DID YOU HANG UP ON ME?"
"Who is this?"
"[blah blah blah blah] I was just speaking to you"
"No, you did not speak with me"

so he repeats the bit about a package coming at 2pm...  I stopped him... where is it coming from?  He says Vegas.  I ask "What is the package?"  He says its a Mercedes.  I immediately stop him and quite firmly tell him he is not to call our house again. He continued to talk and argue but I repeated (probably 2 more times) but very calmly but VERY firmly that he was NOT to call this house again, that our number should be removed from any lists he has and that I will report him.

Then I hung up and he did not call back.

Called our local Better Business Bureau and confirmed the calls coming from this number are scams coming from Jamaica. This caller identifies himself as Jack White and says you won $2500 and will be receiving a package by UPS. UPS and Fed Ex have both comfirmed they are not involved in this and are investigating. Do not answer this caller and report them to the Federal Trade Commission at 1-877-382-4357.

This man called me as well with a lousy southern accent and started off saying " hello sweetheart." That pissed me off. He proceeded to tell me that he had a package for me and was in AZ and wanted me to confirm a delivery address. When I asked him to tell me the address he was instructed to deliver to, as I order online frequently from home and from work, he became nervous and wanted to verify the I was in at that very moment; I became more frustrated and verified the state. Then he hung up. I called the number back; no answer. Later on that day I missed a call from the same number.  I think hebwants an address. Makes me worry. A***oles.

I got the call today, just like the caller above. From USPS, in Farmington, NM. He had a package to deliver. I asked "where are you going to deliver it?' He hung up. He was very difficult to understand. It was a poor quality connection.

I got a call today from this number said he was USPS New Mexico and I had a package that needed to be delivered at 2 .I told him it was already after 3 my time so then he said O ya the new time is 4 o'clock will you be home at 4?  He sounded middle eastern. It just sounded odd to me I knew it was a fraudulent call right away. He then asked my full name first and last and I said well Who is the package being delivered to? If you have a delivery for me My full name should be on the package and then he hung up on me. I called the USPS and they said they never ever call people to deliver packages. They urged me to call my local police and I did. Beware people don't ever give out personal information ! Not sure what type of scam this is but he was up to something.

I received a text message from my phone number to call 876-464-1525. Shortly after, the number called and it was a man with an accent stating I had a UPS package and when I would be home. I told him I was at work and a good time was after 5. He told me it was a cashier's check and I was skeptical and told him I had to go and he could deliver it to my work. He stated to call him back in 15 minutes in which I did not.

I did wonder if it had to do with an online book order. However, after looking up the number on Google, I realized this must be some scam and I'm glad I didn't fall for it.

More of the same! Through voice mail the caller opted to send a text message to me saying call this number.  I called back and he did have a foreign accent (I thought Jamaican).  He said he was with UPS, needed to know if I would be home at 2 pm to receive a package. I said yes, he said OK and hung up.  I instantly thought it strange because UPS generally does not call, when I called back he did not answer as though he worked at a business by giving the business name, I was not expecting a package, and how would UPS get my number.  I am just a bit perplexed as to what this guy is trying to do.  He didn't ask for any information or money from me?  Kinda strange...
