calling the police will do nothing.they have no jurisdiction.the FBI wont even investigate anything unless it's over one million dollars.

yes you were.never ever ever hand over your wallet to someone over the phone.i hope your stupidity opens other peoples eyes to this scam.

he kept you on the phone because you were being charged international rates to your phone.expect a huge bill.and good luck getting those charges dropped.calling them is part of the scam.they own that number.and all the money goes in their pockets.

All this just happen to me today.  So upset that I was so stupid.   He got both me and my fiance.   Called PCH and local police.  I work hard for my money.   Read this while he was still trying to get more money out of me.

A Mr. Patrick called me on my cell phone and left a message that he was on the PCH delivery team and that I won $950,000 and a Mercedes from PCH and they would be at my house in an hour and half and for me to be home to get the presentation.  He said to call John Malone at 876-479-1344 ext 5.  I called Mr. Malone from my office landline and Mr. Malone with a heavy foreign accent, asked me several questions several times and put me on hold once.  He asked my name, told me I had to get home.  He said to get in my car now and stay on the phone so he could talk to me further.  Why, I said.  Tell me now what you need to say on my cell phone.  He said he had special instructions for me and needed to know when I was home so he could tell the team.  Meanwhile, during all my questioning and  Malone repeating himself, my assistant did a reverse lookup on the phone number on the internet and found out this number was a fraud or scam.  I told Malone that  I thought this was a scam.  He, of course, said it wasn't and asked why I would say that.  I said for one thing he was calling from Jamica.  He said it was Jamica, New York.  I continued to say it was a scam and that he just wanted me to stay on the phone so he could charge me.  He said it was a toll free number.  He still told me to get in my car and call him.  I said I wasn't calling him on my cell phone.  He hung up.

Ya now I know :( I didn't then so I ended up losing money

The umbrella term is "advance fee fraud". If you've really won a prize you should not be charged fees for "tax" or "processing" or "holding" or "release" or "delivery" or any other excuse. The AARP item has a PCH official explain how they manage their contests, which is of course nothing like the English-language-deficient thugs would have you believe.

This guy said the same thing to me that I won 950,000$ an a 2014white Mercedes Benz an in order for publishers clearing house to bring me my money an car I had to purchase a money pack card to pay fir the taxes on the money I won so I made the mistake an did but I had no idea it was a scam after I found out it was I told him I found out and that I wanted my money back an he said you give me b*** j** I pay you 300$ an said he would be my baby daddy an my husband an he said I put my big xxxx in your xxxxx an I started getting ill at this irate idiot saying i want my damn money back an he threatened my baby saying i know where you live ill have your sons head in a garbage bag as your refund!!! So the only thing that came out of this is one pissed off mamma and I lost 160.00$$$ :''((((

This number called me and told me I had won a check for $950,000. After i provided fake information for him to put on his computer he told me he found my claim and just needed to get a little more information. I then proceeded to tell him I work for the FBI and had been tracing the phone for the duration of the entire conversation. After a slew of death threats, a voicemail that told me my family was in "Jeopartisen of dying" and more death threats, I told him I would be calling the authorities if he called my number again.

Over all great story to tell people. And the fact that your husband keeps calling is hilarious!

I just got a call from that phone number today.  It was a guy claiming to do be with Publishers Clearing House claiming that I had won $900,000 and a new car.  I told him I thought that Publishers Clearing House just showed up at your door with a big check and balloons in their van.  After a brief conversation,  he saw he was getting nowhere with me and hung up on me.

Got a call, from publisher clearing house, this is a ups driver, I won 400000, a beautiful car, I told him I was recordiing him he hung up.

Got a call this morning someone representing PCH that I won 950,000 and a mercedes and told me to go get some prepaid card and I could then get my money and car.  I hung up on him but called him back later and said i had the card and if i ever found out who they were i would stick the card up there a**..

They call to my cell and say how you doing ?this is UPS driver  I have a check for $40,000 grands ,are you in home now?and I just end this call and 10 min later call again I did'nt ans

My husband got the call that he won publishers clearing house and a car.   Looooong story short the guy gave my husband his number and my husband has been calling him about every 15 minutes harassing this scammer
.......the guy is begging him to stop so he doesn't get fired!!!!!!! got to love my husband!
