Says that I have won 1.5 Million dollars, to buy a card for 299. and give them the code. They are continually calling my phone and wont stop.

called me saying i won $750,000 dollars.then asked me to send $450. to get a greene dot moneypak stratch card and give them the number on the back.his name was david mcCoy and he was calling from the better business agency. he said the $450 dollars was to cover the 1% and to release the check to me via UPS. I think it's a scam.

yea he sounded jamaican,he said mam this is the auto bussiness,he said we need to collect the$ 5000.00 you ow,if i had $5000.00 i would fix my car.i dont answer no more numbers with area codes i dont know.they can leave a message.

Got a call from Jamaica with a scam.

Hello June Please Report Them N Also Contact The Local News In Your Area To Alert Other People N Elderly People In Your Area...Also Report All The Numbers You Have To Tgr FTC

My mother is elderly, & is a very easy target for a desperate con artist. Luckily I was home when he called, & my mother discussed what this man from American Cash Awards offered her, & he told her she needed to go to CVS to put $150.00 on a green money card before she would receive her prize. My mother was to call him when she got her card, & he would would give her further instructions. I helped my mother to understand that this man was a scam artist, & he was trying to trick her by offering her a prize, & that she would be out of money, & would not get the prize he promised her. He called her at least 20 times a day for about a week. We  reported this call to the police, & he called when the police were here. The police spoke to him,& once the police left,he continued to call. I was very firm with him, & I told him I knew he was a con artist, & asked him to stop calling. Needless to say, he continued to call, & the only way he stops is by not responding to his calls. He has called about every 3 months, & he uses different names, different phone numbers, but he is the same man from Jamaica, with a strong accent, & personality. The only way we can stop him, is my ignoring his calls. My next step is reporting him to the Attorney General.

This is so funny to read, I just received numerous calls from this number, a guy called David McCoy apparently but with a very strong Jamaican accent. I was being offered $750k as a 3rd prize in their cash give-away.... Yippee I'm rich!! Oh yeah really...
Same scam as J B above, even when I hung up he kept calling back over and over again even though I told him he was "full of crap".
The best was that I asked him where he was calling from and he said Las Vegas, he then proceeded to ask me the current time on my cell phone, being in LA I replied "the same as yours"..... This floored his little script as he said 11:17 when it was actually 09:17, when I asked him if Las Vegas had been moved and no one had told me he was totally stumped. I hung up the call yet again and he proceeded to call back another 3 times before giving up.
What con artists, I hope no one gets pulled into this by the draw of the big money, these guys need tracing and shutting down.

Today I got a call from American Cash Awards. Wayne Simmons was the person I talked to. Phone number is 1(876)483-0451. Apparentlt, like many of you I have just been randomly selected to win 2.5 million Dollars and I think it was an "S" class Mercedes Benz..... Definately a Jamaican accent. Mr. Simmons told me that UPS would be stopping by to deliver my 2.5 million dollar check and my Mercedes. He told me that UPS would be accompanied by the FBI and the CEO of American Cash Awards. He asked me if I wanted the TV cameras to come by or did i want it to be without? I told him no cameras.   I told him to get them to drop by and I would receive the car and the money. Told me that UPS would be here by 6:00 pm. He  asked me if I knew Walmart? I said yes. He asked me if I knew CVS Pharmacy? Again I said yes. He asked if I knew Western Union? Again, yes. He asked if they were close by? I told him no I live in a small town and we have none of the stores here. I asked him why? He told me that I had to go to Walmart and purchase a "Green Dot Money Pack" card worth $150 on it... He was really hard to understand and his telephone kept cutting out. He asked how long it would take me to get the Green Dot card and I told him about 2 hours. He said when I go to Walmart not to tell the staff that I am about to become a millionaire because the Walmart "lady" he said is working with unscrupulous  people that would hurt me.... Awwww what a nice guy, in his mind he is just trying to protect me. He told me that I could not tell anyone, not even my wife. So, 5:00 on the dot Mr. Simmons called back. He askred if I had the code on the Green Dot Money pack card and I told him that I did not.. He said "why"?
I told him that Walmart was sold out out of the Green Dot cards.. He asked if I knew JC Penny? I said yes but that store is not in this town either. He told me that I need to get the card by tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM. I told him that Walmart would not have in any more cards until Monday morning... Ohhh by the way.. I never went to Walmart. I already know this guy is trying to play me. So now I tell him I am not able to get the card I say he can just donate the money and the car to charity. He said that UPS would stop by tomorrow but would need my personal information on some kind of form.  I told him I would not fill out the form but they could just go drop the money off at the Salvation Army he insisted that it needed to be in my name.. I told him no that i would donate it in his name.. He said no it needed to be in my name... Very persistent. He then asked why I was not wanting the money? I told him that I am well off, which I really am not... I am pondering the options of a leg amputation  and cannot work. beleive me, 2.5 million would come in handy but to lose 150 dollars would mean I wouldn't be eating for the next month. He then proceeded to call another 4 times tonight. I never answered but I am sure they will call back.. So,  sorry this is sooo long but hope this gives info to someone and my hope tonight is to shed enough light on the call I received today.. I hope this helps someone not to make a mistake.. This is definately a SCAM. Please Take Care everyone and Don't become victimized.

They call every day saying that I won 2.5 million dollars and a new Mercedes Benz. I told them that I do not want the gift and to pass it to someone else. They tell me that is impossible so I hang up on them and tell them never to call back again. They have been calling back every day for the past 2 weeks, I have ignored every one of their calls yet they still continue to call back.
