This the classic "pay to play" scam. These scammers want you to give *them* some money before they will give you "yours." Of course, you will never receive the "prize."

just got a call, he way saying go buy a greendot money pact reload paper card for four dollars.... and I would win.... wondering why i have to go buy this? makes no sense and I smell crap

I was offered a Mercedes too. I thought this was a lousy prank from a friend so I went along with it, aparently the guy figured out my sarcam when I demanded that instead of the five million dollars, I should be provided with a Zeppelin capable of transporting my many cats; he then hung up on me.

I just received this call (10-12-13) from a guy that claimed to be from publisher's clearing house saying I had won $5 million dollars and they needed the taxes on it totaling $1900. I told him it was a scam and not to ever call me again and he hung up.
