A guy (Jason Bourne, no less) told me I won first $50K then $750K. He said he was calling from Las Vegas, but my caller ID said Kingston Jamaica.
When I said I couldn't do a Green Dot Money Pack reloadable scratch card, he offered to pay off my credit card - just call the 800 number on the back of my card and enter the account # he provided and the royalty # he provided. That would pay off my credit card balance so I could pay the taxes and fees for my "prize." He said to call the credit card number and then called me back 15 minutes later.
I learned that the Jamaica scam has been prevalent in New England for a while - there is a Beware 876 ad out there to alert people to the phone scams originating in Jamaica.
When he called back 15 minutes later, I told him I had called the police - and that I was reporting the scam. I told him not to call my number any more. He just called it again...

I have also been receiving calls from this number. A man with an accent informed me that I won 5.5 million dollars (in a cashiers check from the U.S. Treasury) for "shopping at my favorite grocery store and paying my bills on time." I couldn't understand the company he said he was calling from, for his English was not very good. The prize would be delivered to my physical address via UPS and all I would have to do is pay for shipping and handling. Instead of paying UPS directly, I would need to go to Wal-Mart and get a $350 dollar scratch card and give it to the UPS guy when he arrived with my money. I let him keep talking so that I could find out more information, but it was clearly a scam. I told him that I did not want it and he became very angry with me and hung up the phone. However, he has called back every day and I just ignore it. I will be blocking this number from my phone. I only hope that someone more gullible hasn't fallen for this nonsense.

I have had 13 calls from this number over the past two days. When I picked up on day #1, I got angry and told them to stop calling me. The guy, in broken english, told me I won a prize and said some other stuff but I couldn't understand what he said. I told him to take my number off the list or I will call the police. He hung up. The next day, several more calls, but I did not answer. I put my number on the Do Not Call List so I have no idea how they got my number. I'm livid.
