MGM Grand promotion

I recieved a call at 1:43 pm on 2/27/14 from restricted number. The man on the line said he was with MGM Grand Casino; this was a promotion and I won $485,000. I told him I hadn't entered any contest & I didn't know what he was talking about. He said that MGM randomly selects a phone number in random states to award money to. I asked why I have never heard of MGM awarding random winnings to random people in random states. He said that they do not advertise people winning large sums of money for security reasons. He told me I needed to write down his name and a registration number. His name was "Frank Hanover" (with a thick accent, English was clearly a second language); then he gave me a Registration number. I asked for his phone number and ?Frank? gave be the above number, then transferred me to a ?superior? to tell me how to collect my winnings. The ?superior? asked for my name, I told him I was skeptical and asked what the extent of personal information they were going to ask from me; he said he just needed my name; that they were in Jackson, MI; asked how close I was because I would be recieving the money via UPS deliver that day; he asked if I owned the phone they called me on, and I said "yes". I did give my first and last name (I feel dumb). Anyway they wanted me to call 1-866-996-5997 toll free to register for package using a 6-digit registration number. They asked if I could do this with another phone & I said "no". Then he said that he would call me back in 2 minutes to give me a chance to call the registration number. So, I called the number; a recording just says, ?enter your 6 digit confirmation number?. I hung up, I did not enter anything. I called my husband; he said it's obviously a scam, and was annoyed I even let it get this far. As I was hanging up with my husband, I got a call from an unavailable number; I didn't answer it. I looked online and can't find anything that leads me to believe this is legit at all. MGM Grand clearly does not have a random free money program. I don't know what these folks were going to try to get out of me; or what they got out of me that was useful; if you get a call from MGM Grand trying to give you free money you never signed up for, just hang up!
