I received a call this morning from a Jamaican number, 876-565-1083. I recently spent a week in Jamaica's Sandals Royal Caribbean, met some really nice employees and assumed this was a call front the resort, therefore I answered the call. Immediately I said "How is everything is beautiful Jamaica" and was told by the male caller, and please know these are not my words and I disapprove of the language, " I am at Sandals in Jamaica f****ng your wife"!! Then, he hung up. I returned the call, received voice mail and left a message. Apparently I have been scammed and will look at my next cellular bill very closely. BEWARE!!

Same guy called me, David Johnson was his name and it came from Jamacia. He gave me his ID #, Check Number#, Winning Confirmation #, Serial Bar #, License Plate# AND the attorney's name (Mary Anderson) He said I had won $967,000.00 and 2014 Mercedes Benz. He said I needed to go to a Dollar General or Walgreen's to claim my price, BUT I had to pay $355.00 to claim my prize. I asked him for the attorney's name and he placed me on hold, then gave me this number, I googled it and saw these comments. I'm going to await him call and pray for him. He asked me if I believed in God... told him Yes, He said this is my blessing. Only God can bless like this. Well David, You can't mock God... I hope you are prepared for your destruction Because I am Child of God and you can't mess with His Children.

Yep ... some folks think that is how to become one of the "2%", so they give money to the scammers, in the misplaced hope something wonderful will happen.  Or, they think somebody will protect them from their own folly.  Then, they get upset at everybody else, when they finally realize they have been scammed.  Blame the cops, blame the phone company, blame the government.

Things to believe:

* There ain't no such thing as a free lunch (TANSTAFL)
* If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
* You have not won big bucks from an unknown government benefactor
* The tooth fairy really does not exist
* Everything you read on the internet is not necessarily true.
* It is illegal to pay money for a loan, BEFORE getting the loan!

A person with a heavy Jamaican accent called and said he was from Publishers Clearing House. He wanted to know if I was home and that I had won $2.5 million and a Mercedes Benz.
He gave his name as David Bradly, a badge number and confirmation number.
I told him I had a hard time believing he was legitimate.
He told me to call him back.  I told him we was wasting his time and my time so he hung up.

They just called me and told me I needed to go home and meet an armored truck for my 2.5 million dollar prize. They did not ask my name or my address. They ask me what kind of car I drove.  ???
