My father got this call but could not understand the person on the other line and after the guy told him something about $50,000 I got the phone and said, "May I help you" I head the tone in his voice change (he thought he was still talking to my father) I again asked if I could help him, then he replied real mad that I was his "B" and that he wanted me to go so "blank blank blank " to him and I rebuked him in the name of Jesus Christ and he continued to tell me such nasty stuff so I hung up. What a terrible way to live, he must be a terribly sad soul.

Yes! My uncle just called me about a John Washington calling him and stating that he had won 1.9 million dollars from Publishers Clearing House. Unfortunately, my uncle is very naive and was actually gave this guy his information! He asked my uncle to go to Walmart as well and purchase a visa card. Of course, I asked him for the number so I could Google it, and I found plenty of search results indicating that this is a scam. Please spread the word about this scam. Hopefully, people with any sense will know that!

caller id says call is from Jamaica

Yeah, after having me on the line for about an hour, they wanted me to go to Wal-mart and buy a $250 gift card to hold until my cash got to the door.  Definitely a scam.  Had one person on the line named "Bobby Green" from the "IRS" who had a thick accent just like "Mr. Washington".  Wasted 2 hours of my day and I'm mad. Beware!

I also received a call from this number. It was stated that my number had been selected from Publisher's Clearing House. I am also on the do not call list for my personal cell.

The guy had a accent you could hardly understand.  Said he was with publishers clearing house and I had been selected from oklahoma regarding winning money.  I said sir do you realize you are calling my personal cell phone and that it is registered with the do not call list?  Course after I said my personal cell phone and that.....the line went dead.  I am so tied of getting these calls on my cell phone.  I thought it was against the law to call you on your cell........

They called very early in the morning and did not answer the first time so I called the number back and heard a room full of voices saying various tones of hello!! Actually sounded like a party and everyone was making fun of the way you can say hello.  I hung up and they called again and said something about Publishers Clearing House - but I hung up so did not hear what they were trying to say.

A guy call'd with very thick accent and sad he was calling from Gaico and that I won $ 870,000 dollars, i sad "wait a minute, give it to your grandmother".

How do we stop these calls coming in on a cell phone

Very thick accent, sounded like "publishers clearing house" the rest unintelligible. I said "please put me on your do not call list". He said "____ you" and hung up. I could not understand the _____ word, perhaps "Thank"?
