Received multiple calls from this area code all about delivery of contest winnings. Various calls claim to represent different organizations : Publisher's clearing house, Fed-Ex, Wells Fargo Bank, The Federal Trade Commission etc. Each time a courier is in the area ready to deliver prize winnings from some contest I never entered . When I tell them I never entered it becomes a winning based on random drawing of phone numbers. Each time I am told they need  money from me to verify that I am indeed the winner, process documents, and/or pay independent courier costs. So far payment has been asked for in the form of me purchasing a visa/American express/ mastercard gift card, or online through pay pal. Callers know my name, address, date of birth and there have also been calls from same area code directed at other family members. Be aware that local law enforcement does nothing to protect you. I was referred by the police to the Federal Trade Commission who referred me to the State Attorney General's Office who told me to make sure I was on the State and National DO NOT CALL lists. Of course, why didn't I think of that. Criminals wouldn't dare call me and try to scam me out of my hard earned savings if my name is on the DO NOT CALL list. Thanks for protecting the vulnerable.
