Never return a message to anyone that claims you have won a prize.  It cost me $10.00 to return the call.

I was given two names (the alleged caller and his "boss").  The caller continuously contradicted himself and would not answer reasonable questions I had for him.  He wanted me to put him on hold while he called his boss.  I told him my cell didn't have that capability, so he said for me to call his boss, and that he'd hang up and cb in 5 minutes (after all, "he" was going to stop by the house in "45 minutes" to deliver my check).  After hanging up with him, I called our police department and asked if a detective would be home in my stead so that when the money order/cashier's check was purchased at Wal-mart, they could arrest him.  I was told it's basically a state Attorney General issue and "they're always gone by the time we get there."  My wisdom aside, you Google Publisher's Clearing House Scams Phone you get a number (which I called) for the Publisher's Clearing House scam line.  As far as I can tell, they're legitimate, working with the FTC and others to help squelch this national curse.

I just received this call. The person insisted that I use a cell phone to contact him, but I didn't. I am wondering if this is their web site and all reports are being reported to their organized crime group.

My daughter received a call from what was referenced as Publishers Clearing House, they said that we have won 450K and a Mercedes, left the name Albert Lopez, 1-876-881-2324, x 5 and a reference number.  Suspicious, I called. He ask me to come home from work right away, they had someone in my area that could deliver the winnings in 45 min.  I told him I would call him back.  I checked the number, and called the Police.  Found to be a scam, did call him back, at first line stated disconnected, then about 10 minutes later did go through.  I told  him I had notified the Police, he told me that since Police were involved, if my family was not already dead, they would be very soon.

I just got off the phone with this organization. I will post full details latter. I played along with the process and have 2.5 hours of details about them. I even called them on their number and they answered. The caller claimed to be Mark L Wilson (876-881-7485, ext #5, badge #1144 badg) from "American Cash Awards"  (part of PCH) giving me 2.5 mill and a car. I just needed to put $500 on a CVS Green Dot card. If anyone wants to compare notes to stop this :@:&:&&, let me know via this posting. I think I know where he is locsted too.

Received call on my cell phone with the chap telling me that I must reconfirm my personal details as my "credit status has been compromised in the most disturbing way, which is affecting millions of Alaskans". First of all, our state's total population is just a tad under 3/4 million. Secondly, I doubt seriously that the health of the state is solely based on my non-existent credit status with a scam artist. Told him to get stuffed and have now blocked the number.

Beware..I just received a call saying I won PCH and a new Mersades..I called the number they gave me; they wanted me to go to Walmart and get a Green Dot Money card..I'm no dummy but called Walmart Customet Service to get the scoop on a green dot card because I wasn't familiar with it. I became very concetned and called our Sherrif..what a scam. These people need to be found before they hoodwink some of our elderly residents..my 94 yr old father in law was bilked out of $3500. They told him he won a lottery!

I received a call from someone speaking in broken english claiming to be John Cartwright from Publishers Clearing House. He stated that a driver was in my area with a package for me. He instructed to call the "TOLL FREE" number 876-881-2324, EXT 5  and ask for Albert to claim my package number 557B. This is obviously a SCAM. The 876-881-2324 is an International number too.

won publishers clearing house, be home to take delivery on a 2012 Mercedes-Benz and a check for 255,000 "United States dollars". Gave me a phone # and a contact's name to confirm that I would be at home to take delivery. Told them that I was going to call the police station to report them so other people could be warned against this scam by putting an article in the local newspaper.

first caller was a restricted number saying I had won the Publishers Clearing house prize and was instructed to call 876-881-2324 where I was instructed to put $450.00 on a prepaid card and then they asked for the card scratch off number. This how they process the card and take all the money you put on it! SCAM!
