I get two or more calls daily on my business phone from a recording saying "This is (name) with Local Results...we can help you get higher ranking on Google. Please call 1-877-207-7202 for more information or contact us through our website as www.localresults.com." How can I shut off their irritating daily phone calls?

I don't own a business, and my address and phone number are of my private place of residence and not of any kind of business.

The problem is the Federal Trade Commission and the Do Not Call Registry since they don't do their jobs.

The FTC and Do Not Call Registry are either run by people who are lazy and incompetent, or they have been bought by the same crooks who they are supposed do reign in.

Whatever the case may be the FTC and Do Not Call Registry should be shut down and all of their employees immediately fired since they are dysfunctional and probably working for the criminals who violate federal law.

Why pay good tax money to support a federal agency that is in bed with the illegal telemarketing industry?

I filed a BBB complaint and an FCC Complaint. Local Results claims the got my number from. 'business phone number' list purchased from:

If you call Sales Genie, ask for the Removal department. They are very nice and helpful. They will gladly remove your number from their consumer and/or business lists.They can also tell you if you are on one of their business or consumer lists.
Sales Genie confirmed my number was NOT on one of their business number lists. Local Results is lying.
The Utah Better Business Bureau was very helpful in expediting my complaint.

I have simply started not answering 877 numbers, or unknown numbers, luckily my phone has a call reject option.

These people suck.  Called and told them to remove me from their calling list; now they call twice as often.  Really?  Like I'll be more inclined to do business which involves giving them my money, knowing that they can't follow simple instructions and don't give a rat's butt about potential customer's wishes?  They just couldn't believe I wasn't interested in hiring them to get our website more traffic.  Hey dumbasses!  My business doesn't operate like that!

Called a fax line for a business in GA, and did not send a fax.  Number was added to call block list.

Robo call trying to sell SEO services.  We're on do not call list.

The company is Big Local Results - or at least that is what "Brandon" told me.  When I requested to be taken off the call list - he just laughed and hung up.

Fill out the complaint form for the Do Not Call List. If they get enough, they'll investigate.

Calling my cellphone just a few ago about my renewal on what business???? Uh,I never had a business!!!  This is scams!!

Hopefully I have the caller ID. I did answer once keep calling since.. Auto message to rank my website la la la crap.

Rather than this, which is futile, attempt to persuade the individual CSR in a way that communicates to them how much they are hurting, rather than helping businesses and that they need to find a job that helps society and is productive. They will feel better. And politely ask to have your number removed as well.

I'd take advantage of these situations as an opportunities to work on the art of argument and persuasion. The angry type response: been there, done that. But I realize that it will not have a useful effect.

In addition to using this persuasion effort, you should take some time off the productivity clock of the company. In the long run, you'll benefit from this, learning some patience and decreasing the mindless outrage quotient from your system.

This is a subsidiary company of "Clearlink," as a CSR there told me/admitted.

Clearlink.com is the website. Those violating the donotcall registry undoubtedly can be chastised/fined/etc. Otherwise, no company would ever pay any attention to them.

Report them as clearlink and help get results for all.

I've been on hold for over 5 minutes now trying to have our business phone removed from their database.  Spoke with Kelvin and he said he would take care of it.

They called and didn't leave a message on my cell phone.  If they are the same idiots calling to promise me the moon about website SEO, their too late.  My website is already in first position with several key search phrases on several top search engines. Funny they too ignorant to realize they got my phone number off the very website they already found in #1 Google position.  Well, even dumb-a***s got to make a living. Sad they are too stupid or so greedy they rather try to rip people off.

Our business received a robocaller from this number today.  Message said something like, "Did you know your business doesn't come up in a Google search?"  I laughed at that.  EVERYTHING comes up in a Google search, whether you pay some idiots to imbed your info all over the internet or not.  Even if I was willing or silly enough to be drawn into whatever crap their selling, our company only services a very small geographic area so why would I want to field a bunch of extra, unwanted phone calls from people out of our service area?  I hit the option to opt out of their calls but I'm not holding my breath waiting for them to comply.  If they call again, I'll hit a number to talk to someone and then blow my emergency whistle in their ear.

I received a call from them promising first page results.  I asked thier company name and Googled SEO and SEM.  They were not even listed.  I advised them I was organically on page one of the search engines and asked if they needed help getting listed on page one.  While the idiot was trying to sputter if you put their company name in, it comes up number one...which I had to enlighten him that is pretty much how it goes with all searches of a single company name.  Told them to never call again but now they just call once or twice a week and hang up.  Extreme bad will towards that company "Local Results".  If I were to look for a SEO/SEM company, this type of marketing has completely put them OUT of any strategy.  Called and talked to "Kevin" and told him AGAIN to remove my business number the auto dialer is calling...
