Paid telescammers dialing for "charity" dollars is essentially fraud. You sound like one of the fraudsters. I will usually wait until I get a subhuman like you on the other end, talk quietly so you have to turn up your headset, them deliver a good loud blasting. Hope it's you next time!

Oh, and did you know that means "stop calling me forever"? If you don't get it the 1st time, I'll repeat.

Silly Rabbit Do Not Call list does not cover Non-Profits.So they aren't breaking the rules and WHINING doesn't help and the law is the law, and according to our laws the charities can call you once a day every day 365 days a year. So ignoring the call will only make the dialer (computer) call you again in a few day or as long as it takes to get through the all of the numbers and start over again....

Actually you have an excellent attitude about telemarketers. I always tell people NEVER DONATE EVEN A $1 to charities that call you on the phone. I can say this because I was a telemarketer for many, many charities, all under one roof, all a complete rip-off.

Now the reason I'm writing, of all the charities that call the Easter Seals is one of the good guys. All they ask for is clothes, or anything you are no longer using.
Them and The Salvation Army, I'm not sure if the Salvation Army does any calling but they are one of the best there is. Their CEO takes a minimal salary (under $20,000 )and most of the past CEOs actually gave their salaries back to the charity! Incredible.

A quick list of who I worked for.
Fire Fighters for many many states but called from MN
Fire Fighters for major cities but called from MN
State Patrol Trooper's Association for at least 35 different states, again from MN
Vietnam Veteran's Benevolent Fund
Vietnam Veteran's Association
Chief of Police for too many cities to even list, all from Bloomington, no not the Bloomington in your state!  from MN
Peace and Police Fund
Chief of Police Benevolent Fund, again too many cities to even guess all from MN
Sheriff's Department for at least 150 different cities all across the country, again from Bloomington.... MN
Get the idea yet? And we had an answer for any objection you might come up with.
98% of the money is gone before it gets to the "charity" which no matter what these goons on the phone might say goes to lobbyist representing the Vietnam Vets or Fire Fighters or whomever. So never, ever give a dime to these crooks. Non-Profit just means at the end of the year after salaries, rent, lights and equipment... There was no money left over. We were turned into the Attorney General's office who instead of busting our butts showed us how to structure the business model to stay off his radar. I was one for many years, made $35,000 - $50,000 a year and we had a roomful of 30 people or so doing what I was doing. I finally felt too guilty when we started calling retirement condo buildings and were encouraged to push for "even just $5 it adds up!"

12 calls since 2/4/13 and those are just the ones I logged. When I have actually picked up there is no one on the line. If this is Easter Seal they should have better ways to use their resources. I'm tired of running for the phone!!!

I don't care if it is a non profit organization I want them to STOP calling me!  I know how to reach them if I so desire.  Do not call list is useless as no one is made to obey the rules.

If it is Easter Seals ,I regularly get calls from this number, but the caller ID says "800 service." Why hide your identity if you are doing something good. They should make arrangements to have it show up as Easter Seals ,although I understand the technology does not know the difference, but there has to be some way to reveal their true identity. They might make more headway in the donation department.

There are many worthwhile charities that receive unintended rejection because caller ID identifies
them only as "800 Service" or "Tool Free Call". My call handling setup can prevent any caller from
ringing the phones while capturing and logging all Caller ID info on a call.
.
It cannot tell the good guys from the ones we all want to avoid, and consequently it sometimes shuts off
access from folks we would like to talk to or with whom we might like to  become acquainted.
It is however, the price of isolation from the undesirables.

I wonder why well known and acceptable callers do not or cannot put their names on their Toll Free calls
so they can be white listed - or at least not blacklisted and blocked.

Event Reminder
Easter Seals donation center in Wisconsin.  The call wasn't a pitch for cash. In our area we regularly receive a yellow Easter Seals item donation postcard in the mail with the date a pick up truck will be in our area.  The call was a followup to ask if we had items to donate and if so to describe the procedure.  It appears Easter Seals is attempting to make more efficient use of its limited pick up resources.  We applaud their efforts and will donate items as we have in the past.  It would help if their caller ID would specify Easter Seals instead of "Not Provided."

I also got the call, but I didn't mind the call, Why, because I bought a Digitone Call Blocker.  www.digitone.com The first time they call, it rings my phone and the call comes through. I then block the number and the next time they call, my phone doesn't even ring and the blocker hangs up on them. You can even block entire area codes. I have it setup to block any incoming calls with the 855 area code. The blocker keeps track of all calls, good and bad ones. Then I like to check to see who got hung up on just for fun like I am now.

You need to buy one of these, you?ll like it. No monthly fees either

I know Easter Seals is a non-profit so are allowed to call and harrass people. This number keeps calling but I never pick up numbers I don't recognize.  I will NEVER give money or donate to Easter Seals because of these calls or any other "charity" that calls my phone for that matter.
