they keep calling and calling and calling

Just spoke with Joe Santana at Van Ru Credit Corporation. He has no record of my last name, my mother's name, phone #, cell ph #, etc. She has given out her CC# in the past to get them to stop calling. Acc'd to Joe, they do not have any ph #s associated with their company that begin with 877, only 888 and 847. So, watch out, these scam artists calling from this # are out to get your info and run with it. I called this number back (877-209-5713) and have sat on hold for a total of one hour and 25 minutes. Nobody came to the line, not even today when I called back. Be ware! Do not give out any info! they will just come back to get more, and will harass you even after you do.

The Van Ru Credit Company has called my parents' home phone line every day over the past six or more months, supposedly regarding my doctor bills. If this company was legitimate, they'd know that it is illegal to speak with anyone other than the debtor regarding his or her debt. Unfortunately, my mother gave her credit card number to make them stop calling, and even though they charged her CC, they continue to harass her with calls and messages on a daily basis. I tried to call and resolve this today, but was put on hold for over an hour, only to find out that they had closed three minutes after my call was placed. After some serious research, I have found that this company is a scam and has had legal action taken against them for harassment cases and scare tactics. Beware and do not give ANY info to them or they will threaten your neighbors, call you incessantly at home and work with no regard for the hour. They use profanity, send fake government letterheads with threatening verbiage, and will stop at nothing. The horror stories are unending. Report to the BBB if you can. Good luck.

received a call from vanrue corp. they said wells fargo gave them my number, and was the last 4 digits of my ss# 7325?  i said no, and that my name was NOT the name they were calling.

i would like a refund for everytime they have called (4), and
all the other "idiot" non-person annoying calls.  STOP THEM!!

Number calls several times a day.  Does not leave message.  But will continue calling until I answer.  He asks for a different person everytime and I've told him he's got the wrong number.

What can we do about this?!

I got many calls, and once got this number.  The message was for a Elizabeth Mendez.  It seemed to be a recorded message and said if I was not Elizabeth Mendez to hang up, etc. etc.  Once I let the entire message go to my recorder and got the number then.  The calls seemed to have stopped but I must have rec. them at least 2 dozen times so am curious what this was about.  The caller sounded rather threatening.

How do I stop these people from calling? It is annoying and harrassing.I am working and It is against the law to call someone on their job regarding debts maybe I can sue this company and they can pay the debt.

I've been receiving messages from this same exact number 1-877-209-5713 Ext#4379 and is working tonight till 9pm (not sure what time zone) for months.  The caller is both female/male and they are calling from Bank Corporation who represent themselves as Debt collectors.  These people keep asking for Marc Stevens, which I have no clue who he is or even if he exists because I don't even know the guy.  Today, I got a message from a guy who says he was Ray Hannah and what he said on the answering machine is so ridiculous and stupid.  He said something like, "I'm calling for Marc Stevens and if this is not Marc Stevens please hang up now.  If this message is still playing and you are listening to this I am going to "assume" that you ARE Marc Stevens."  What the F is that?  How can I stop my answering machine if I wasn't even home?!?!  What an idiot and Ray Hannah could be part of an ID Theft Ring or just trying to prey on innocent victims by scamming out of their hard earned $$$$$$$$.  Also, he mentioned that he was not a "solicitor."  LMAO  He's exactly a solicitor.

After numerous hang up calls and two collection calls for someone I don't know that I requested no further calls, and called back requesting no further calls, I asked for a supervisor.  Louis Santiago got on the phone and said the name of the company was Zan Ru, not Van Ru.  He said they did not input my information correctly to stop the calls.  Sure!

This company is VanRu Credit Collection Agency. They have called my job numerous times with automated. I called an informed them to not call me at work and the rep "Rich" was very rude.  I will be sending them a Cease & Desist letter today ASAP!

When they call you goes to a recording and you don't understand the name they are asking for. These people should not aloud to do this to good people.
The lady said name of company was Vanui Corp. Probity a front name for a non-company. JUST FRAUD person. Don't believe them. I can't believe people can get away with it.

I called them back asked why they called and a lady asked me for my reference number and said unless they have a  "business" with me they wouldn't have called me. Of course I didn't give her any of my info, but when I asked "What kind of bisuness are you talking about?" She got mad and refused to answer me unless I gave her the "reference number". Here is what I think what we can do. Instead of been abused by them and wait for them to call, we can gather our friends and each call 888-710-6819 back EVERYDAY to ask them why they are calling people and ASK THEM TO STOP abusing the phone system :)

We keep getting calls from someone at 877-209-5713.  As soon as we pick up,they hang up.

I got a call as well and the rep demanded money. When I started to ask questions to try to find who and what this is about information was not given. I called my bank and was glad to hear that everything was okay on my end. Called the next day Van Ru (877-209-5713 and rep that answered said the person I was talking to the other day never worked in their company. When I started to complain and ask more questions about the company, the rep transfered me to someone else that also demanded money. Making long story short this is Fraud Company do not give your personal ifnormation such as bank info, ss# and so on. I'm planning to file a report with a police this week.

They called my number that I have had for 10 years 3 days in a row asking for 3 different people; all of which I did not know. I advised them to stop CALLING!! for anyone other than me and they have no business with them.

Someone from this # calls our home several times a day. We do not pick up, & they do not leave a message.

A business called Van Ru Credit (1-877-209-5713) keeps calling my house, saying that I owe them money.  They keep asking me to verify my social security number (last 4 I think) and middle initial.  Since I refuse to give that information to them, they say that they will continue to call my house.  I told them that I am not the same person that they are looking to collect money from, but they said they will keep calling me anyway.  I asked them to remove me from their calling list and told them directly to remove my phone number from their list and told them that it is illegal for them to keep calling me even though I told them to remove my phone number.  I do not have to give them my personal information in order for them to remove my phone number from their collection phone number list.  This is harassment. They are looking for a different person with the same name.  I am not even the person they are looking for.  Then, when I spoke with the Manager, he said that I already verified my personal information, which is not true, because I refused to give them my personal information.  I just told them that I was not the same person they were looking for.  I contacted the Better Business Bureau about them today.

I got a call from that same number asking for me by name, they claimmed to be calling from wells fargo and calling abour some money i owed them, but I have no business with wells fargo.  my wife was the one that answered the call and they demanded personal information, but refused to give a contact number.

This call really scared me.  I did not know if it was a phishing expedition or what.  The called and asked for me.  I asked what it was about and he saif that it concerned an account.  I said that I don't have any outstanding accounts.  He said that he was from Wells Fargo (who I will call tomorrow).  Then he asked if the last 4 digits of my social were ****.  I said no.  Perhaps I was suppose to give him the last 4 instead.  Yeah right.  Ihope that my fear was just imagined and that they aren't scamming.
