got a call from there to about something from me being in an office with a pending file which I haven't been so....weird

I received a call from (225) 709-0802. They ask for me by my last name and after I confirmed it they said they were a dept collection agency that had purchased the credit card debt from a Bank of America card that I had canceled some time ago. The card had accrued interest to the point that the balance was around $400. They were going to report it to various agencies today but it was such a small amount of money that they were giving me a courtesy call so I could pay it and not have it go on my record. They gave me the name of their organization and said I could look it up on the Web. Meanwhile, they stayed on the phone expecting me to check the site out as if that would confirm they were for real. I eventually hung up on them.

Just got a call from this same number myself.They refused to tell me what the call pertained to or who they were

Same msg from ICS...anyone have any idea who this is? They are calling home and cell and I don't know how/where they got our number.

keeps leaving a message...urgent ... there's a file in there office.  company ICS??? WHAT DOES THAT STAND FOR?

I had call from them as well missed, then received text message. Caller ID number 225-709-0802 Will NOT contact them.

NEVER GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO CALLER!!! If they did call you they sopposed to know your name. If they ask for it - it is a scam. Never call back to unknown numbers. If they want something from you they will call again.

I received a call at work as well with no name left but gave 877-215-4923 urgent must call and the number on caller id that came up was 303-339-0875.  When I dialed the 877-215-4923 number, Mr Levinson was evasive and said he would forward me onto their processing department.  He wouldn't give out the company's name or what the "urgency" regarded.  It must be a scam.

Received urgent message stating to call 877-215-4923 or number on caller id which was 210-858-9846, no other information.

I received a call from a company that does not want to reveal their Identity or purpose.  It really seems like a scam.  

On 12/21/2010 I received a call leaving urgent message without regard to purpose - left number 1-877-215-4923

I missed the call, so decided to call back.  I was transferred by a receptionist to someone who asked information that I provided.  They could not find my information in their database, based on what I provided.  Since I was dealing with the State of Texas on Adult protective agency issues, I was very concerned.  I insisted that they check the information that I provided vigorously.  They did not find why I received this call and reveal their purpose.  One one person I spoke to (Orbin or Mr. Hayes) seemed to indicate that they are a mediation agency (private).  I became more concerned because I am requesting Texas State mediation in a elderly care issue, involving my mother.

I insisted that they recorded my return call to ensure that if it was the state of Texas that it would be noted that I did return the call.  I closed the call being told  not to worry about the call...it was a mistake.

I then called the state of Texas.  They could not provide additional information, but did reveal that the State Report ID that I gave to the mysterious caller was incorrect.  I then proceeded to call the number 8772154923 back to let them know.  Perhaps then I would get to the bottom of the call.

I called back and spoke to Orbin.  He was very rude and said "Don't you have a job...something better to do with your time."  He would not provide any additional information, and hung up in my face.  When I asked what is your agency, who are you and what is your purpose, they were evasive and gave no response.

I spoke to someone by the name or Orbin....he told me on the second call...What in the hell do you want from us. You do not seem very inteligent. He hung up.
I called back and asked to speak with someone else.  
I called back and asked to speak with a supervisor.  Mr. Hayes was put on the phone and was even more harassing and rule.  I tried to explain that I gave him a report ID instead of a case id.  He did not allow me to speak and said that there is nothing that you can for me.  ...called me an idiot and said that I was harrassing him.

Called a third time, from a different phone.  I spoke to Ms. Gilstrap - She would not reveal the purpose of the call or the name of company or line of business - She hung up on me as well

I then called the ATT to report a harrassing call.  They took the information down and suggested that I contact the Police department so that they could do a trace on the number.

I will most likely do this to gain peace of mind and to know that this what appears to be a scam does not impact anyone else.

Does anyone know who calls from this phone number?

I have received 2 calls from them in the past month and they say the same thing, that it is an urgent matter with a file with reference to my phone #. They did not know my name, so I am not returning the call.

We received the same call today Jan 24th at 5:01pm. Said he was calling from ICS with an urgent matter. My husband called him back and they asked if a women's name lived here. Never heard of the name. I doubt they will call us back but it is very strange.

the best way to get these harassing phone calls to stop is to harass them back; the individual referenced above did it right; keep calling them.  I get these calls and start asking them dumb questions non-stop and/or report them to the fcc.

I have been receiving calls from someone called David Williams. Its of course a scam and he wont stop calling.

I got a call from 877-???-4923 today at 3pm. I don't have Caller ID on that line and there was a lot of noise outside at the time, so I'm not sure if the middle numbers were 215, but my experience was similar to CJ's post, so I think this is it.

A recording said in a 'folksy' man's voice that it was "ICS" calling about something "urgent" and to call that phone number or "the number on your called ID", or to press 1 to speak with an agent now. I pressed 1, and was transferred to some lady in a call center.

She said they were looking for someone at my phone number who doesn't even have the same last name as me. I told her this and she said they'd stop calling me. She completely ignored my questions asking "What is ICS? What does it stand for? What are you calling about?"

Call recieved today 12/21/2010.  Left urgent message to return call regarding urgent matter, no other information.  Caller ID came up 210-858-9846.  Message stated to call 877-215-4923 or the number on the caller id.
