Same thing happend to me today..Gabriel called and said if I didn't pay 205.00 today I will be served with a civil suit for a payday loan..offerd me a settlement for 500.00 to be paid today. And said if I didn't pay today I will be served with court papers tomorrow..He did not read me my Mini Miranda rights as all collection agencies are required, when I put my mom on the phone who has collections experience he rushed her off the phone and became very mean and he was nice to me the previously..This is a violation of FDCPA Laws...File a complaint and this is a big time lawsuit.

I've worked collections the last 7 years. My girlfriend received a voice mail about being served with a "notice of intent" to appear in court, and that is indeed a tactic they use for people to call in... It was regarding a payday loan my girlfriend took out and she ended up making arrangements with them at my urging , simply to get the calls to stop, which were also being directed to myself and my parents!

The funny thing about this blog is all of you calling it a scam. Is it a scam in the sense that you aren't really going to be served with court paperwork? Of course they are just a collection agency. But is it a scam where they Don't truly own the debt? No, they do own the debt... The only scam going on is by all you fukking scumbags who borrow several pay day loans and look for any excuse/reasoning not to pay them back... Your all scumbag thieves.

I sent this supposed Crosspoint Associates a cease and decist letter. I also filed a complaint with the FTC online and wrote a letter to the New York Attorny General's office.  Jackie Snyder or Slater left me yet another message yesterday morning at 9:30, as well as my mom, telling both of us that she will be at my house between 10 and 4, to have valid ID.  First of all, she disclosed to someone other than me that I was being served papers for breaking the law, secondly, she threatened me with being served papers to go to court.  That violates the FDCPA. When I found their website, the only way to contact them was via mail or email.  There was no phone number listed.  Total Scammers!

This place called a family member's unpublished cell phone #!! I know it's a scam. First of all, I have no validation of why I am being "served".  Never heard from this place until now.  Secondly, since when do they warn you that you are being served?  Has anyone actually been served from this place?

I have been contacted several times from this Jackie Slater or Shaffer or whatever she is saying also from a man stating the he had papers on his desk and needed my id from this number, and also they have started blocking the number where it comes up private, then my ex husband's mother got calls from them threatening me and her even though she told them I was her ex daughter in law and she did not know how to reach me, upsetting a 75 year old lady is uncalled for... 1st off this is illegal, giving personal information to anyone other then the person it is intended for, on answering machines, voicemail or to whomever they speak to, secondly, a deputy serves the court documents or "papers" and doesn't normally call first, third, it is harassment pure and simple and lastly it is illegal to use scare tactics when collecting on debts, real or made up. She told my ex mother in law she was going to her house between 10-3 tomorrow to serve papers to me and that i need to be there to show my id, and left an identical message on my phone.... hummm hard for her to be 2 places in the same time period as we live almost 400 miles apart and it is a 6 hour drive....good one... SCAM!!!!!!!!

Yeah so I got a call today from some chic wanting to come to my house in 2 days to sign some court papers and wanted me to show id...yeah right! They are trying to collect on a 2008 payday loan from Money & More. This payday loan company was a scam...they put the same account on my credit report showing 3 different account numbers. I disputed all 3 accounts with the credit bureaus and they were all deleted because this company couldn't verify the debt.  Don't trust Crosspoint Associates!!!!!!!!!! They are nothing but a collection company and will try anything to scare you. I told them to remove my number and to never call me again.

Don't worry - its a scam company that call themselves Crosspoint Associates -- looked them up and there are plenty of people theyve tried to scam. Their website is a joke. Ignore their messages - they are trying to get money out of people who don't know that they are being scammed. They will tell you that they have your ss # and that they are coming to serve you papers. When court papers are served the people being serviced are not CALLED and told to be home -- who would be home if that were the case??? These scam artists are trying to scare you into calling them back so they can get your money. They are what are called bootm feeders: In other words, third-party debt buyers. If you don't know about these bottom feeders, and the games they play, it could cost you dearly someday.

Got two calls in one week. From two different people, but turns out they are from the same scam business CROSSPOINT ASSOCIATES. I looked up their website and it was very unprofessional plus I found grammar mistakes! Later I researched and found it was a website put up to look like they were a real company. The first call was from a dude who called himself Frank DiMarco. Said he was coming to my house in two days to serve my court papers and if I didnt call back then I should consider myself served. Luckily I found this website and read everyone else's remarks and he did the same thing to them as well. People who do the service for court papers do not call you before they come - the point is the element of surprise. Idiots. Then I get a call from a woman named "Jackie Snyder" or Slater - not sure which because it was hard to hear her. She said the same thing. Used the same "official" number of my so called "court order." And left the same phone number. Don't believe these people, dont call them back and ignore their messages. THey are just scma artists called BOTTOM FEEDERS - they are looking to make any money at all on the unknowing.

I received a voicemail from Linda Harris. She said that she had parework with my name and social on it, and if she did not hear from me, she would come to my home around 10am Nov.28th. If I'm not here, then she will come to my job. She also stated that she had a certified letter to give to me, and I have to show my ID to sign for it. She called the next day and left another messege, saying pretty much the same thing. I tryed to contact them, and it sounds as if the recording was made in someone's home. I Google the name and found nothing. Tried the number and found you guys. Now I can carry on, but I do want to mess with her head for a while. Are they asking for money?

Im also getting calls from Elizabeth Cruz or Cruse or Cruise saying to call the "claim" at 877-229-5247 or else shes coming over between 10 - 6 and to be sure I have a form of ID for her she did not go into details as to why or what she was doing or who she was with

I too am receiving calls from Elizabeth Cruze wanting to serve me papers to go to court for a payday loan from 2007. My loan was paid off and have had no communication regarding this at all until last week. I called the 877-229-5247 and spoke to Thomas. Informed him that they were mistaken, he told me that he had legal papers for a court case and that I owe them 1500.00 and I had to pay him 205.00 today or Elizabeth would serve me. None of this is legit.

My brother has been getting phone calls from an Elizabeth Cruz looking for me.  He called her back today to tell her that she had the wrong number she became very aggressive with him stating that she had to speak to me and only me and that she would be seeing me in court tomorrow or a warrant would be issued.  I have NEVER been issued a suponea or anything saying that I needed to go to court.  She also refused to tell my brother which company she was with.  I had a similar call to this about a year ago and it was a scam.  My bestfriend is a local cop and he said it sounded like a scam based on how aggressive they got with my brother when he was simply trying to tell them they had the wrong number.  I am calling the local police department as well as county police and reporting it to them today.

If you call the number back, you'll hear the message that it's from Crosspoint Associates.  I received the same call from Jacking Snyder, and it didn't feel right, so I researched it.  Crosspoints associate is listed as a fraudulent business.  I also called the BBB (Better Business Bureau), and they stated that no such company exists.  It's a scam company trying to get money, by saying that if you don't pay you'll go to court, etc. etc.

This guy Richard Ross claiming to have legal paperwork with my social security number on it. He says if I want to know what it is to call him with the claim number he left. He then says consider myself served. Well, as far as the law goes service is suppose to be made in person. A week later he calls back and says I need to be ready to show my ID to receive the paperwork because he's coming to my house between 12-5pm if I dont call him.

My husband received 3 calls from a Jackie Snyder within the past 3 days, and also one from a Gabriel and they were very threatening, They also called my husband's boss with threats. They are alleging that they are going to come here and file something regarding an affidavit, of which there is no such thing, within the next few days.  It must be their favorite number (3).  They did not/would not identify  who their client is. They are making him a nervous wreck.

OMG!!!! i got a message from a woman named Jackie Slater stating the same thing....She also said she was coming to my house but only gave me 1 day to return her call she said she was coming between 10am & 3pm, she never came to my house & I believe you do have to be served in person... ima call legal aid and ask them. pretty strange... so did u ever call them back?
