This number called 3 times in the last 30 seconds. Finally a person was on the line the third time and says she got disconnected with someone at my work. This is not true because he was on the phone with someone else. What great and rude lengths people will go to lie their way through trying to get a sale. WOW.

Yes, it is American Water. Except they call and they leave a voice message. It sound like the person is over seas. In Asia. Yes, learn English. Before anyone comment. I am Chinese. Just American born. So if mine line breaks. I can just bring out my back hoe. Dig it up and run a new line.

I'm getting hang up calls from this number!! Why would an automated call do that?

American water, kept calling me almost everyday.

American Water, they are trying to get you to add insurance to your underground pipes, or you owe a bill.

Calls me on both my house phone and my cell phone, doesn't leave a message and doesn't list a name. I called it back and got American Water Company.  I must be late on a bill, LOL

I investigated this after receiving three automated calls three days in a row.  It is a firm named EOCCA which has a "call center contract" with American Water.  When I call Am Water at the number on my bill, it is answered "thank you for calling American Water" but it is actually an EOCCA location doing contract work for Am Water.  If your bill goes past due they shift into collection agency mode to collect the past due.  I spoke at length with a supervisor named Robert Wright who explained everything to me to my satisfaction.  He knew the exact amount of my current, just issued bill without any prompting from me so their legitimacy as a valid Am Water contractor is validated to my satisfaction.  He said he had no record of anyone calling me every day for the past three days - all three calls were identical recordings that contained no account or name information so are obviously some sort of computer driven glitch.  Certainly if one is legitimately past due (I'm not but I am an Am Water customer) a smart company would have an automated, computer driven program to make the initial call asking for a callback.  So I'm getting such calls but without any information contained in them.  I also got a call from a person about a week ago which I did return and they confirmed that I had a zero balance at the time and could not explain why I got a call.  Robert had a record of that call on July 9.  I urge anyone who gets a call from 877-230-0718 to call them and let them know you are getting calls that you should not be getting.  I am in California and a customer of "California American Water" which is an operating company of American Water.
