yeah it is true! it is really a stupid scam, honestly i am a new recruit call center agent in this what they called destination services, renting for timeshares for those engineers to be make it to cancun mexico or marriot hotel. and the call says it is from sacramento california, but the truth is it is here from philippines. and i dont know if it does have any branch in other country, but i think this is a big fish......  i am just a concerned citizen that will not tolerate this in our dear country. but i heard to my manager that the owner of this company is from outside the country.......

Now they will not stop calling.

I got this call and I don't even own a timeshare.  I played along for a little while and said "which timeshare are they interested in"  "Which ever one you are not using came the reply".  Timeshares are a stupid investment in the first place, I guess they figure anyone gullible enough to fall for the original timeshare scam will be up for being duped a second time.

The other scam I get constantly is the Member Services scam where they want to lower your interest rates.  I usually try to talk to someone so I can waste their time  but they quickly turn to name calling and cussing and hang up on me.  I figure every minute of their time I waste keeps some old lady from losing her life savings.  Why hasn't the government cracked down on these crooks?

I received several calls from this number and no one answered. Finally, I picked up a call listed as "unavailable" immediately after the 877 call. A woman named Catherine Young from Destination Services was offering $3600 to rent our 2-bdrm timeshare for a conference to be held at Marriott in Mexico during February 2012. She called back again, per my request, from a cell phone #858-346-2222. She gave her return # as 707-430-0429. All the numbers seem to be involved as a scam when you call them back. She sounded very legitimate, so BEWARE. I put her on mute to talk to my spouse about it before giving her any information. I put the phone on mute. She must have thought I hung up because the call was disconnected. She never called back.

Just called the # back, and got a recording that said "If you have a received a call from this number, it has been reported to the authorities for fraudulent use, please disregard.  We apologize for any inconvenience."  NICE!

How do you forward this to FBI? I wish I knew as these calls are driving me crazy!

Just received a call from this number. After saying hello I heard a beep and then a woman started telling me about a time share. I interrupted her and told her that they've been calling everyday and to stop calling. The lady then said something like, "we will call everyday, every minute, every second." and then hung up. If they call again I may resort to the airhorn into the phone technique.

Very annoying calls at all time, they do not answer or leave messages.

Asked caller for name and she gave her name as Brandy Bell from Destination Services.  She gave a return phone number of (707)430-0429.  She said a party wanted to rent my vacation property for over $3000.  Told her I was on do not call list and she could be fined.  She said in a very sarcastic voice, "you do whatever you have to do.  I'm from ____, California."  She then hung up.  Filed a complaint.  Checked number the call came from and it was 877-234-9876.

Have received numerous calls from this number.  Caller ID shows "V11513563700034".  If I pick up, even without saying anything there is a period of silence, then a metallic beep, followed by a recorded woman's voice saying "goodbye".  Extremely annoying!!!!!!

No message left, calls here 3 - 4 times a day, unable to reach anyone when I try to call the number.

blow a horn in the phone till there ears bleed !!!!! it works everytime......

I have had thyree calls from this number with no one ever answering. They just hang up. This time I returnred the call and got a voice recording saying the number is being frauduntly used, ignor thye call, authorities are authorized to research the matter and ending with an appology. If I continue to recieve the call I'm just going to ignore it.

If you call it back, you get a message that the authorities are aware that someone is using the number fraudulently and they apologize for any inconvience.   I have 7 calls so far.....

They stopped calling when I "forwarded" the call to the FBI's voice mail.

I got 5 calls from them in the last 5 days .... last one 10 min ago.  I reported all of them.

I have received more than 10 call from that number? in the last 5 days and nobody ever speaks.. wish i could block them

Does anyone know how to file a complaint with whoever issues these numbers?  Getting really tired of 2 or 3 calls a day!

i'm so annoyed they keep calling me. when i answer no one is there. i wish someone would be there so i can just tell them to stop calling me.

I've been getting calls from this number and it just gets disconnected if I pick it up. I called back the number at 3 a.m. PDT once and someone from India answered so I just hung up. Today I called back at 7 p.m. PDT and someone who spoke English answered and explained that the company (HP Service) has reported the incidents and the authority is investigating the case. Apparently it is a legit number that has been used by unauthorized user. The lady apologized for the inconvenience.

been getting calls from them daily, but unable to answer- until tonite !   supposedly from "Destination Services"  and immediately asked if I want to rent my timeshare for $3600 a week !!!  yeah, sure, its probably really worth 1/4 of that !!   I strongly told them to lose my #  !!   Interestingly, I also previously called the number out of curiosity and it answers as " HP Services " !!    I'd like to know how they know about my timeshare !!!   I'm still reporting them !!

Supposedly, a group of engineers can't stay at the hotel in Cancun they need to (Marriott and Hilton are sold out), so Destination Services comes to the rescue and offers timeshare owners $3,600 rent, PLUS, will pay your Maintenance Dues.  All you have to do is use RCI...oh wait, they can't do the exchange, but Premier Exchange can do it for a small $199 International exchange fee.  All they need is a credit card number (to confirm you are serious about renting out your timeshare), but NO AMOUNT WILL BE CHARGED TO THE CARD, Kristine Torres give you HER WORD!  They will e-mail/mail you a contract for you to review and approve.  I told Kristine to mail me the information, and if it was not a scam, I would call her back with my information.  She HOPED I would not be too late, since they had 96% of their quota for the medical group filled (I thought it was engineers!!).  I am 96% sure this is an elaborate SCAM!  Call Kristine at 951-603-5007 if you would like to participate in this great deal!

Whenever I see a toll free number calling I pick up the phone and wait for the other end to say something.  This number called at 2 pm today ... no voice at the other end.  This usually means it's a recording waiting to hear you say "Hello".
How do you determine that the number is assigned in India?  I didn't realize that toll free numbers could originate from outside of North America.
