Chase automatic customer service call. I had chaged my password earlier in the day. I'm guessing they called to verify it was me. Why don't they just leave a message ?

It asks for your debit card number without asking if it's for a personal or business account. It never asks for you account t number or debit card number, which the real Chase always does. Then the recording rambles on about fraudulent emails. The real chase recordings don't do that. Plus, Chase doesn't call it's customers randomly for no reason. I called them to verify and was told there was no reason anyone from Chase would have called me. Before you say someone is "not too bright", you should know what your talking about first.

I have gotten several calls. It's a fake!!!!
Shirl 2014-03-29 23:08:15 Unknown
Call the number back. If you have an account with Chase some one my be using your info and your acct. could be compromised.

Forgot that I needed a code from my bank because it didn't recognize my computer. Great way to do it. It gives you options for phone text or email. Love this service

Good to know , Chase has actually been very very conscientious about catching fraud and alerts to approaching my self set threshold. Why the hell don't they just say so ? Hanging up only creates a annoyance and wasted time for the customer.

This can be a scam. I received a call from this number, asking me to verify my account info as there appeared to be fraudulent activity on my account. I hung up and called the number on the back of my Chase card, and was told it was not Chase calling me.
I am aware of the access code process via texts/calls/emails, as I've used that service in the past, but this was not the purpose of the caller who called me. I was called by a scammer from this number. They may have the ability to make caller ID appear as though it's a legit Chase phone number.
For those who are unsure which post(s) to believe here, I say better to be safe than sorry. Don't take that chance. Think about it-Why would Chase call you and ask for your account information??

Call - just let them ring the phone and the hang up after four rings. Have ID

This is a legit call from Chase
mrKenton 2014-02-14 01:40:47 Unknown
This does appear/sound legit. Chase is winding down their account-activity voice alert system and after March will no longer automatically call you with an alert regarding your account activity. They will only notify you by email or text after that. The message that it plays when it calls you announces that reduction in service. (just like they are also cutting other services...you'll soon have to pay them to have a checking account..but that's another story.) This system also serves as a gateway into Chase account services if you call the number back. Since the assumption is that you want info on your account, it needs your account number.

Missed a call from this number on my cell phone. Tried to return the call and appeared to from Chase credit services. The automated voice asked me for my credit card number. Why would Chase call ME and ask for my credit card number?
Went online and checked my balance, then called Chase from the number on the website. Asked the representative about the call and he said they were not making these calls. This is very likely phishing. Don't give out your card number!

Whenever you receive a voicemail or email from a bank, check the bank's phone number online or from the back of your credit/debit card to get the real contact phone number. Your bank will tell you the same thing. Emails and voicemails are not always reliable.

Don't know who is this

Fraud! Dial the number on the back of your dot card or your bank statement or go to the real Chase website (www.chase.com) and call the number on their"contact us" section.
Fred 2014-01-21 14:29:39 Unknown
Be careful cause these are fraudulant calls trying to get people passwords and accounts then steal the money from your account
Rocksie Ann Palmer 2013-11-14 20:20:03 Unknown
The phone rang and no ID came up. No message was left?
Michelle 2013-09-25 21:28:57 Unknown
It's Chase. I called it yesterday to report an unauthorized charge on my account. They closed my atm/debit card, and refunded the money back to me.

LEGIT number from CHASE with an automated code you may need to access an account... of course Caller ID can be spoofed, so keep that in mind.
Radioman 2013-08-20 09:08:37 Unknown
Just got an automated call from this number at 1:46 AM. The message said it was Chase online with an 8 digit identification code to access my account online. I DO NOT HAVE A CHASE ACCOUNT. It said that if I didn't request it to call them at 1-866-355-3744. THEY REQUIRE YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER TO TALK TO THEM !
Moose 2013-08-06 14:19:42 Unknown
It ISN'T Chase, it's a fraud. And so are you.
mmmmmmm 2013-08-06 07:08:44 Unknown
just spoke with Chase's Faud department and they said it is the number and it can found on their website. Not sure what to make of all the posts, but that's what they told me.
cate 2013-07-18 18:52:35 Unknown
re my latest message, above -- this is the legitimate Chase number. Apparently, my husband was trying to do something online with his credit card account, and had to make an adjustment after switching to a different computer, and doing all this at midnight...Anyway, it is an OK number, but I wish these companies would identify themselves via the Caller ID
cate 2013-07-18 04:12:04 Unknown
It is past midnight, and this number called us.

I been getting emails from chase about online account that was recently opened. I never had a account with them. I've been getting emails for the past two weeks regarding over drafts and online access. I called the 877 number and they told me to report to abuse@chase.com so I did and then I get two seperate emails one saying it wasn't a valid email from chase then another that it is. so I call for the third time this morning and ask to speak with a supervisor who then said someone else has my email address and she was going to call their customer to have them change there email address. I don't know this all sound fishy to me. I hate CHASE and I am still waiting for her to call me back to let me know what thier customer says. I just hope this is not fruad and that someone else is not using my social.

Reading all this is new to me .. Plus interesting... I received 2 calls from this number today 5 minuets
apart. The first one I didn't answer- they left no message.. The second one was a recording - and
said,, this call is for (an unknown name),, if you are not this person - hang up and disregard this call...
I hung up... Thought that was unusual - and did this research ... Will certainly keep an awareness
in mind, for any future contact from this number.....
