Had the same thing happen last night.... told the guy I thought it was a scam and hung up on him. He actually called me back to try and continue his sales pitch, I hung up again.

Received the call today wanting to "buy back" my time share. Giving me info that they would sell within 10 months or they will but from me. Very convincing conversation! What worries me is that people may fall for this! Its obvious a scam "look where Im posting this" my heart goes out to people that pay the fees to them over the phone! They wanted $1,299. from me over the phone! NOT going to happen. PLEASE spread the word to people to also investigate who you are receiving a call from before you give any info out!  

Same thing happened to me today!!! Describes it exactly!

Posed as a company that "buys back" timeshares. Left a voicemail at my home and I returned call from work, talked for 15 minutes about the timeshare and the supposed value, they offered to sell it for a questionably high value. They did not ask for money up front, but implied there would be fees involved if there was a sale. I did not like the sound of it all and I gave no sensitive information. Appears to be a very slick scam of some sort.

Got a call from this # 877-247-0305 trying to buy my timeshare at some inflated Market Value and told me all I need to do is pay the listing/processing  fee and I would be paid after the sale is completed.  Told I want to investigate this before this goes any further they also called me back from 530-542-2121.

this number called a previous employeer and stating they had an offer to make me today and if i didnt take it they were going to send me to jail and sue me, but yet i have not received any phone calls concerning anything. so if 877-247-0305 David Thompson ext 308 for Compac company they will say what ever to who ever they think they can.

OK, I'm demonstrating just how naive I am. Didn't know the difference between novelty ids and fake ids. Didn't know there's a booming novelty id business.

Regardless, the message left makes it sound like some better-business type agency is calling me about a complaint I made against Miss Novelty. Ha!  Wants me to call back and reference a report number. I dunno, sounds like a scam and they want to confirm that there's a real person with my phone number.  But that seems like a lot of work for just that! I mean, the call was left by a real woman. Again, bizarre!!

I should note that we have not registered any complaints against anyone that I can think of.  So I did a search on "avie novelty', found this:

Again, how bizarre. We haven't requested any fake id's.  Kinda thought that was illegal? Whatever.

Message left this morning, says something like, "A formal complaint has been filed against Abbie Novelty. Miss Novelty has used your name and number on these documents." and "At no time should anyone underestimate the severity of this matter."  How bizarre. There is no one here by that name.

Got a phone call from them this morning.  Said there was some illegal activity on my bank account and before they filed a complaint they wanted to talk to me.  Sounded threatening.  Would not explain what they were talking about.  Does this mean that the police will call criminals before they are arrested to see if they really done it?????

they callled my dad and mom and got them upset.
