I, like others, received an offer which APPEARED to come from RCL.  It even has their logo.  I am a firm believer that if it appears to be too good to be true, it probably is not.  I want to report this number.

Go to this website/blog to see how this scam potentially works out:  http://www.cruisemates.com/forum/all-things-c ... e-cruise-2.html   Some brave sole go through the whole process of attending a "seminar," using the vouchers, and going over how much his out of pocket expenses were in trying to redeem the vouchers.  An enlightening and interesting read.

I called 1-877-247-9100 for the 8day/7night cruise on Royal Caribbean.  RSC Promotions claims to be a travel service selling unbooked vacation slots (eg unfilled cabins, hotels, and timeshare, etc).  The flyer also states 'This is a last minute offer and is applicable aboard select sailings, PLEASE CALL NOW!'  The key word is "selected sailings."  They'll probably end up giving you vouchers and allow you to sail on only selected days, which will always end up being blacked out.  After awhile, you'll just give up.  Anyway, they are holding their sales pitch at the:  4-Pts. Sheraton hotel in Chambers PA the week of 3/17/14.

Got the same notice today. Free Royal Caribbean Cruise, air fare, yadda, yadda, yadda. All you have to do is take your magnifying glass and read the small print on the back of the "check" and you will see that it says "This offer is not sponsored by or affiliated with Royal Caribbean Line but they are a major supplier". It also says THIS IS NOT A TIMESHARE OR LANDSALE OFFER.
So who is gonna call and see what the sales pitch is? I always like listening to them and I keep them on the line till they get so frustrated they hang up. It's fun! I always call from my work phone. They can't trace or call t back. I'm off this week but I'll give'em a buzz when I go back.

Got a postcard from "Royal Caribbean International" saying that he had been selected to receive a complimentary Roayl Caribbean International Cruise for 8 days and 7 nights to the Caribbean. By responding within 72 hours I will also receive roundtrip airfare for 2 adults. I was to call 1-877-247-9100 to make the booking.

Instead I called Royal Caribbean International directly through the number on their website. They informed me that this is a scam connected to a timeshare and to throw it away.

I received a "final notice" for a 7 day RC cruise with airfare for two as well. Thing is, I'm actually a travel agent and have been for years. I get things like these all the time and trust me when I say that RC doesn't just randomly give out free cruises. (not even to us, contrary to what some people think) This one is NOT from RC. It is from a 3rd party and you will be sorry if you get drawn in!

I got a mailing today saying that Infinity Travel was giving me a free 8 day cruise on Royal Caribbean so I called Royal C. and asked them, The number on the mailing is not Infinity Travel's number that RC has. They gave me the number they have for Infinity and I called it and was told that it is a scam. No way I was going to call 1-887-247-9100 before checking it out first.
