Got a call from Mary saying I won $25k or $25K shopping spree.  Called from 1-800-637-8947  Told to call her back at 1-800-630-1037 x. 369.  Did so.  Brad answered.  Said Mary was unavailable.  Brad then tried to get personal information from me.  He would not tell me where they were located.  He refused to provide his last name.  He then accused me of being obstructive.  They called me!  He hung up on me when I told him I was going to send the number to the FCC do not call registry for further investigation.

I receive the news that my iPhone was selected in the random lottery and I will I receive the award online.

I received a similar call, saying that I was 'chosen' to win something that I registered for (although I never registered for ?free? stuff). What a low life crooks.

I had the United Notification Center call me with great news! I won a past contest I had entered a 50K dream giveaway. The phone number was 877-279-3525.

I received a call after 8pm last night from 312-962-0239, listed as Anita Magee.  Someone named Mitch left a message saying that he was calling about an entry I had made sometime in the past year for the $50,000 dream giveaway.  He said that he had "fantastic news" and to call back at 1-877-279-3525.  These numbers are a little off from the ones listed above, but it appears they may have switched their game.  Too many coincendences.  Thanks all for sharing!

I too have received a message from this number. His name was "Phil". I have not called back but was curious enough to google the number, hence, here I am. If anyone really is curious and you dont want to call from your home phone. Dial *67 first as this blocks your number on caller ID.

It's an ID theft scam.
Of course you don't remember entering any contest they claim you entered, "but maybe I did enter it, I just forgot"  you think to yourself. You  won and want to claim your prize. They will want you to give personal info to claim your prize, like your SS number and Bank Account number--  so they can deposit your winnings into your account. If you give them personal info you are screwed. They are a type of Identity Thieves.

Got a phone call on sunday they left a voice mail saying this is the prize distribution center, that someone in my home entered the $50,000 dream prize giveaway sometime in the last 18 months. He said that the contest had ended, and he did say contest, and that he had very good news for me and to call back as soon as possible. I have tried to call back twice just to get the juice out of him but I haven't gotten an answer yet! I didn't save the number that came up on my caller ID but I was told to call back at 877-249-6404, I do know the call came from the state ID, I'm not sure what state that is Idaho or Indiana, not sure have not looked it up. I will try to call back again to try to get some info from this guy to report him.

I too received this phone call today from 877-249-6404, Phillip and said I had won.  I did call the number back just to check it out since I am always entering contests and my Mother had won a Second Chance Drawing from the KY Lottery awhile back so I thought it may be my lucky day and when I called back no answer and I am glad I researched this and found all this info on the computer about this SCAM.  Enjoyed reading all these comments.  You know we are ALL hoping to WIN big one day but we should all research and check the info out and do NOT give your info out to these type of SCAMMERS.  Debbie

Rec'd a call from Phillip 10/19/12. Said he was from the Prize Distribution Ctr. and he was calling about a $50,000.00 dream givaway I had entered 18 mo. ago. When I called back Phillip wasn't there so I spoke with Loni. I wasn't informative but I was pleasant. She said my name would be placed in a drawing for Dec. and discontinued ther call. Either you've won something or you haven't. I'm taking this one as a scam.

Phillip called this morning October 19th. Told me that I had entered a drawing for 50,000 approximately 18 months ago and he had "good news" about my drawing and for me to call 877-249-6404. I do NOT enter sweepstakes, I don't accept 'free vacations if I attend a short seminar" or anything of the sort. This is obviously a scam. Glad I googled the number too.

Got exact same message from Phillip from "Prize Notification Center" won 50,000 in past 18 months in home improvement give away.  Wants me to call 1 877 249 6404.  Have not returned the call.. figured was a scam

I got the same message on my answering machine.  Figured it was a hoax so I ran the number and found your response.  It is sad what lengths people will go to for a scam.  Thank you for putting up the info.

This sounds much more like the call I received and response I got after returning the call. I figured I had nothing to lose. I didn't give them any info, other than my phone number (which they obvi had b/c they left a message on my answering machine).Anyway, all of their verifying entry info was correct, I wasn't asked for any credit cards or purchases... Honestly, the drawing sounded familiar, like something I'd entered online.

We make less than that & she still continued to verify all of my information. I didn't GIVE them ANY info except my phone number b/c I figured they must've had it to have called in the 1st place! If you didn't see my experience, My OP is on page 4, I think.

I received ALMOST the exact same message(s) from the same guy(s) and same #.
DIFFERENCES: 1) My message(s) didn't say that I was a winner, it basically said to call them b/c they had good news for me about the drawing. 2) Brad announces the $25,000 and SUV& Phillip announces the $50,000 Dream Giveaway.3) <VERY IMPORTANT> When I called, I was asked my telephone number. I did NOT give them any other information, I only verified the information they had (which was EVERYTHING; marital status, address, email, age group, etc.). They, then, told me that my name had been drawn & I was a finalist for the winner drawing (end of the year). By the way, the same # went along w/both messages so when I called, I called about the $25,000 and SUV, which I was told was 'exhausted' (as in they have given them all away) so they were now offering the $50,000 prize (instead). IT SOUNDED LEGIT AND I HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE BY GIVING THEM A PHONE NUMBER THAT THEY ALREADY CALLED/HAVE.... THANKS FOR NOT CALLING BACK EVERYONE! THAT INCREASES MY ODDS!!! WOOHOO  ~ NUTTIN TO LOSE BUT HOPE =)

10/4/2012 recieved a call saying it was from the "contest center." I had enrered a contest "within the last 18 months" and had supposedly won their $50,000 dream giveaway. I was highly suspicious, and found this website this morning. Would contacting the FBI result in anything?

we have been getting calls form this number saying we have won 50,0000.00 - we screen our calls so i wanted to google it before i called it back they jsut put me on eternal hold and i hung up - sweepstakes distribution center or something ... any thing too good to be true is too good to be true- beware ..

I kept getting these calls at least 2 times a week for the last 3 months.  I finally called today 9-29-12 the woman rushed me through talking really fast and wanted some personal info.  I told her I wasn't going to give her any personal info and I wanted to be put on the list of people not to call.  She said "No problems" and hung up on me

I received a call from 877-249-6404 this morning, the name that came up on my caller ID was a Bill Bentley.I  didn't answer my phone because I didn't recognize the name and number so they left me a message saying that I entered a contest some 18 months back to win a $50,000 getaway. I called back but I didn't talk to anyone, I was put on hold for about 5 minutes so I hung up. The thing is I don't remember entering this contest.

my call came from Josh from 773-849-6011 telling me to call 866-313-0311...they had all my info and I dont doubt that I may have entered...they didnt tell me I had won...just that I was one of the entries picked for the final drawing at the end of the year for the 50,000 dollars and that I would recieve documentation in the mail...didnt feel as though it was a scam...

Got a phone call from Philip today (9/11/12) that I won $50,000.00 Dream Giveaway and I am to call 1-877-249-6404. I'm not planning to return his call. This is a scam for sure!

straight scam I called the number back and all the info she had about me was wrong I dont get it whats the purpose. WOW
