Called asking for my wife, by first name. I asked "what is her last name" told me she could not say. I said my wife was not available and asked to take a message. I was told no, it was a personal business matter. When I asked who the company was that was calling, she hung up on me.
Understand no credible business would hang up on a spouse....and not knowing the last name yells SCAM.
We own no money and have no outstanding debts. Both debt free and perfect credit history. If this is a "collection agency" it is clearly a scam. I reported to the CRTC as I urge everyone else to.

okay I just talked to someone at this number they said they were calling from G.E Money.They were calling for my husband and as such would not tell me who they represent.Privacy laws they said. Well I don't see how it breaks a privacy law to tell me they represent the ABC Company. I have no idea which creditor of ours they represent( we are in the middle of some debt problems) so how am I suppose to know who to pay off or what ever...My husband leaves me to deal with most of this since I'm the more diplomatic of the two of us.

Just to clarify, I hung up after hearing the message about the operators being busy. If you're not going to atleast give me a company name, then you're not worth my time

This number called our house. No name listed and I didn't bother to answer. They didn't leave a message on our machine and when I called back, there was a voice recording that said "All of our agents are currently busy. Please stay on the line and one of our agents will be with you shortly." Other than that exact thing said in french first, that's the only thing it says. No company name given.
