I?ve been receiving non-stop daily calls from American Diabetes Association (ADA).  I tried blocking each number, but they will just switch to another number.  I?ve blocked three so far (877-251-2901, 877-240-6044, 877-262-9431).  At first, I just blocked them after checking the internet and finding them to be spamming for donations but once I saw them automatically switching to yet another number, I got tired of all this.  I called ADA (check the internet, but the direct number is 1-800-Diabetes).  I learned that they have a ton of numbers so it is not feasible for you to block each one.  This is part of their Community Campaign and, really obnoxiously, it is one of their most successful campaigns to harass people for donations like this so I learned from the operator.  They will ask for your personal information (name, zip code, mailing address) but I declined to share anything for obvious reasons.  I am on the Do-Not-Call Registry but the operator told me that it is legal for charities to spam people.  Sigh.  They said it takes 5 business days for me to be removed from all their calling lists, so let?s see?

Do not call.

They call but do not leave message. This is a big nuisance, There should be a way to stop this nonsense.

After getting numerous calls in past 2 weeks from this number as well as 877-251-2901 & 877-255-1077, I finally got on the American Diabetes Assoc. website to try to have my number removed from their calling list.  So here's what I did and we'll see if it helps.  I emailed them at:
privacy@diabetes.org
and requested to be removed from their calling or solicitation list.  I got an automated message that said it will take 6 to 8 weeks.  We'll see.

multiple calls.  i never answer.  latest call on 7/17/12.  
if it is the ADA, i donate once a year (online).  i have never done anything over the phone with them, and the phone number they have for me is my cell phone.  this number appears on my land line phone.

These people call 5-6 times a day and never leave a message. It's very annoying. How do I make them stop?

These people call constantly.  Calls before 9AM and on Sundays.  
This number or another number from same organization has been

I answered the call after they kept calling and not leaving a message. Thet asked to talk to my husband, I said "No, can I take a message." They siad they would call back. I told them not to. We'll see!!!!

The American Diabetes Association is more sickening than the diabetes. I would donate to them even if they supported the GOP with a million dollar donation.

I get several calls everyday from this 877 number......I never answer when I see the number flash up. I can assure you if this is really the American Diabetes Association calling using these methods to raise funds and I can confirm that fact, I will be driving to Alexandria Va to have a nice eye to eye conversation with the head of this lame organization, and then I will take legal action against this bunch of clowns..........I will put a stop to this.

I keep getting these phone calls, and are unsolicited, My rule, I don't buy from anyone, unless I do the dialing, nor do I solicit over the phone.
It's their dime, they can spend their money all they want!  But they aren't going to get any of mine!

This company is unbelievable!  They actually call using different numbers, they do not identify themselves, and they call at all hours of the day, from 8:00 am to evening.  So far I have received calls in which they call daily and do not leave a message from 877-251-2901 and 877-262-9431.  There may be other numbers that I just haven't figured out yet.  I have called to determine it is the ADA (Am Diabetes Assoc).  I have never done business with this company and I have no idea how I got on their call list.

I keep getting the calls, I don't answer and it goes to answering machine.  they don't leave message. I've gotten calls from 877 numbers every day for the last week.  How do we report these calls?  What can be done?

This is one of the most annoying callers. I get a call almost everyday from them with usually no one on the other line! Sometimes they call at 9:30 am and sometimes 3:30pm.

These people call regularly.. at least 2x week, sometimes 2x a day. they claim to be from a debt collection service but we do not have any accounts in collections.

Never give donations to a stranger who calls you. Might be a scammer. Might be a legit independent fund raiser who keeps 99% for themselves and sends 1% to the charity. Best to donate directly to the charity so they will get 100% of your donation.

Do people really think that these calls are legitimately from the ADA?

Legitimate companies almost always identify themselves on caller ID instead of showing as "Toll Free Number" or "Unknown Name." They don't change numbers, the same number is are listed in the Yellow Pages since they would like people to call freely without having to be solicited,) and they leave voice messages because it's better to let people know who you are than to hope you will call back to find out.

Nothing about this, or most of the numbers listed on this site sounds legitimate, no matter who they identify themselves to be. I can buy a 1-800 number and call people claiming to the Easter Bunny. So what?  It's best to just hang up and leave everything alone since they WILL call back again son claiming to be someone else.

start routing the number to each other and see how they like that...I'll put several on the block list and started routing each other to a number that call all the time...

I have  call blocker that can block entire area codes.  I check to see who tried to call me on this site.  This number tries all the time but my phone never rings.
