This number is legit.  From AT&T.  They called me to confirm some kind of upgrade to the DSL line.

Caller said she was from ATT, but she did not have accurate information.  She said we had an expiring long distance account.  Since I just started with it just a very short time ago she was wrong.  Telemarketer.  I wish ATT would handle this in house.  They don't know what it sounds like to have someone smacking and repeating themselves with terms like "basically...."

This phone number comes from AT&T. It IS a REAL AT&T call, unlike what others beLIEve. Calls from this number will usually concern customer service. For instance, in my case, if you call them about a concern today, they will handle your problem and tell you that you will get a call to rate their service tomorrow. And this number is where that call comes from. So mainly, customer service calls from AT&T come from this number.

I had the same call, said they were from AT&T, wanted to change my phone service. I don't know why, but they do have telephone information about me, which lead me to initially believe their identity.

Called today at 1630 PDT, they're still at it!

Same problem as above.  Caller pretends that he is from AT&T.  He even says "your call may be recorded", so as to make it official.
He know my name, how much I pay, where I make calls.
He wants me to change the settings on my account.
When I confront him and says that if I need anything I will call AT&T myself, he hung up.

THIS SEEMS TO BE A NEW NUMBER FOR THE SAME OLD SCAM.  
THE CALLER CLAIMS TO REPRESENT YOUR PHONE COMPANY - WANT YOU TO UPGRADE OR CHANGE SERVICE.  I'M WITH AT&T AND THE STORY/LIE THEY TOLD ME WAS THAT THEY WERE WITH AT&T.  WHEN I TOLD THEM THAT THEY WERE NOT WITH AT&T, THE LADY INSISTED THAT SHE WAS AND THEN GOT EXTREMELY AGITATED WITH ME.
PROVING, OF COURSE, THAT THEY WERE SIMPLY A SCAM.

Who's this phone #?

the caller mentioned  being an authorized rep for a major phone company, so likely a telemarketer.  Caller ID showed Toll Free Call.

Any idea who could call from this phone number.

Any idea who could call from this phone number.

Ya, same here she (RHONDESIA SMALL) is asking for information they should already have on file. such as name, address, social sec. #, drivers license #, and that I needed to pay a big deposit when we already have service and paid as an automatic withdraw!!!  I mean really? . When asked why doesn't she already have this information she replied, " We don't keep private information on file just in case our computers get hacked? Again, REALLY? I was done. Who do we call and report them too?

Lady said her name was Naquan Glenn, and that she was from AT&T.  The call went bad when I said I did not agree to be recorded, when she stated "this call may be recorded for quality purposes".  I checked the internet while she was talking and saw all of this scam activity associated with this number she gave me and asked her "Why does this number come up as a scam number?"  She hung up.

Same problem here.  They pretended to be from AT&T.  Had a lot of information about my account, but information was slighlty out of date.They wanted me to change my account.
What are they getting out of this?  Is this a scam to take advantage of AT&T, or me, or both?

Where do they get this information about my account?  What else do they have about me of which I am not aware?

the caller ID shows 877 264 7614 Toll Free Call.  The caller said they are authorized representative or agent of a a major phone company.
