I also received a call from Stellar Advocate. I thought at first it was just another scam timeshare resale company. Then I find out that Stellar would not try to sell my timeshare if I asked them. After reviewing the documentation I went and signed up. I had to fill out pages of information and a power of attorney and return it to them. After about a week I was contacted by my attorney and the show was on. It was a typical drawn out legal process. But in the end... I was no longer a timeshare owner and didn't have to pay for the rest of my life for something I didn't even want. So, Yes. I would say use them if you really wish to be free and clear legally.

They are scam artists. A copy-cat outfit of The Owners Advocate, which took people's upfront money claiming a 100% money back guarantee, then stringing them along for a year or more until claiming bankruptcy and vanishing. From what I've read not one client had their resort contract terminated, many ended up in foreclosure and ruined credit because of being advised to stop their payments 'during the dispute', and not one client got their money back. The 100% money back guarantee is totally worthless. However, Wyndham went after them and filed a lawsuit and injunction 1 year ago against against them and their owner David Humphrey, an ex-Wyndham employee fired in 2008 for forging signatures, and got their bankruptcy petition dismissed and a trial set for December 2010. However, while it lasted The Owners Advocate was so profitable that several copy-cat outfits have sprung up, this one only 10 months ago. They have fancy calling software making many thousands of automated cold calls daily and dropping disturbing messages into unsuspecting people's voicemail, all geared to sucker you into paying their exorbitant upfront fee of presently $2,995 per resort contract for empty promises including a 100% money back guarantee. If you do talk to them ask them exactly how many resort contracts they have actually terminated for clients. They claim a 100% success rate, but claims are cheap, lies are common and what you can be sure of is only that this is scam-speak for not having refunded any money to anyone, which tells you what their 100% money back guarantee is worth. So, be forewarned. They figure that anyone having been suckered once by outlandish promises with the resort contract, is vulnerable to be suckered again into upfront fees with promises. They are banking that the painful lesson of too carelessly getting into costly contracts has not been fully learned and that you will fall for version 2.0 of it. Do due diligence, investigate a lot, it may surprise you what you find and save you from getting suckered again by endless scams.

I just want to know if this is a legitimte group and you do get out of your timeshare.

Received a call from this number.  They told me they were an advocate for time share owners and for a flat fee 100% refundable  if not successful.  They indicated that my timeshare comany was fradulant and that if I was dissatisfied they could void the agreement and return my costs expended for the time share.  Sounds too good to be true to me.  It is like the ones always calling to rent or sell my timeshare.  Only thing is they want their fee up front.  No way Jose.  Go to their site and send them a message through the forum on their site.  I did and told them they were in violation of State and Federal Do Not Call Laws.  www.stellaradvocate.com

Either (a) you have A LOT of money you don't need or (b) you're one of the timeshare scammmers.  I vote for (b).

Wait, isn't "timeshare scam" redundant LOL

Leaves a message, which includes this number as a callback, about a timeshare which I don't own and have never owned.  I actually called back, and got a bogus message about "call volume" and "agents."  Said if you pressed "2", you'd be removed from their call list.  But of course when you press it, nothing happens.

I keep getting cold calls re renting "my" timeshare. and NOW someone is calling to get my contract voided.   I have filed bankruptcy and the time share I was purchasing was included in the bankruptcy which was granted.  I'd loved it if you would find out who is giving out EX-time share purchasers are and/or current owners telephone numbers.  I thought there were laws about cold calls and calling people on the do notcall lists.
