When you call it back, it's something about Wachovia checking account overdraft protection...

No message left. If I confirm this is Wachovia, they won't have me as a customer much longer. I've had it with these 3rd-party no-message annoyances.

I have been getting calls from this number Monday - Friday. Most times I do not answer the phone unless I know who is calling. After reading the comments here, I called the number back and was unable to get in touch with a person.
After that I took one of my handsets to the bank (I am only 1/2 mile away) and showed them the number of times they have called. I also informed them that we already have over-draft protection with them. I was then handed off to the Manger who took care of the issue for us. Hopefully, we will not be getting anymore calls.

Annoyance from outsourced marketing calls does not build good customer relations. Wachovia is the only bank I know of who does this for a simple policy change, and this makes a good case for changing banks.

YES - they are a nuisance! Stop calling us! You're only wasting your time and ours!

They called me as well. And to me at first sounded like a scam b/c the the guys on the other hand didn't sound like he knew what he wanted to tell me.
They ask too many questions.
So within less than a minute I figured out that its bs call, so I hanged up.
So don't waste your time on these idiots, just hang up, thats my easy solution for you!!

This Wachovia number just called again. This time I answered. There was a long pause and then click as the caller hung up. I called Wachovia back at the number I know is valid and have had my phone number removed from this list. The rep filed another complaint. Both reps I spoke with today were helpful and responsive. I hope this takes care of the problem....

Just called Wachovia to see if the number belongs to them: they confirmed it belongs to an outside company that works for them. The company calls when Wachovia wants to communicate business or legislative changes affecting customer accounts...but here's the kicker: Wachovia's call company won't give you the Wachovia message unless you give them some identifying info first! [Why? This is information of the most general kind!] When their representative told me this just a few minutes ago, I told her I remembered answering a couple of calls and being furious that a legitimate Wachovia caller would want me to give out personal info to an unknown number. I gave the Wachovia rep this website to read your comments and submitted my own written complaint to Wachovia: 1 - if you're going to continue doing this, leave a message 2 - If you want my cooperation, leave a message that says "Important policy changes have occurred. Please call 1-800-WACHOVIA and select option 8 to hear important changes." They can be assured only their customers will hear if that is necessary, and 3 - Most importantly, I communicated to them that Wachovia's procedure here is irresponsible since they are training their customers to jeoopardize personal information and put their identity at risk by requiring them to give personal info to unknown callers. Shame on them! Let's see what happens.

It's Wachovia calling you to let you know about changes to their debit/check card policy. Seems like overkill to me since the info is on their website and your statement already. And they really should leave a message for goodness sake so I don't need to go all Magnum PI to figure out who's ringing my phone off the hook!

They are calling my work number, no message was left this morning and this after noon I answered and it was some sort of call center but it was like the person wasn't paying attention because when I said "hello" twice I received no response. Lots of background noise. So I hung up.

I received multiple calls at work from this number. No voicemal left. I called it back this morning and a auto-message plays saying "thank you for calling about wachovia's overdraft debit card service, and to please call back within business hours."

Calls but do not leave a message, there is no name, only a phone number.
