It's AICR, the American institute for Cancer Research, one of several phony charities that plagues the world with solicitation phone calls. I call them a "phony" charity because most of the money they collect goes to "overhead" (into their own pockets) rather than to the cause it's supposed to represent. We have told this organization more than once that we will not be sending them a donation.  We pick and choose who we give our charitable funds to.

I recieved a call from this number at12:03pm.  I wish they would stop calling.  I have all my numbers on the do not call list.

Did not answer, calls often

Several times a week--we don't answer.

Getting two or three calls a day from this number which I never answer and they do not leave a message....

So gar this year 30 calls reported all to fcc

I just called the number back....well one of the million numbers they call from anyways! I hit "1" to hear more about the company which then gave me the option to enter my phone number not to receive any more calls. Of course it then stated that they have 30 days by law to do it, but let's hope. Our bank of numbers to block on our phone is maxed with their numbers!

Call almost daily. Please stop.

Call the number, then dial 1 and 3.  You will then be asked to enter your ten digit phone number and #.  That should get you off their list.

I do not answer any  call that does not show a name. I may not answer then either.

I AM GETTING CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER 3-4 TIMES A DAY AND  STARTING AT 8:00AM DON'T WANT ANYMORE,

i called the two different numbers  -  1-877-275-6850 & 1-877-274-6835 and got a recording and if you press the number it says to hear more eventually you'll hear if you want removed from being called put in your phone number and then listen because it repeats your number and asks if this is correct - supposedly they will remove your number from being continuely called !
i don't know if it works but i felt it was worth a try because my phone companies number block wouldn't let me block these phone numbers !

This is great.  It did work.  Wish other organizations would do this.  Thank you for the tip

Have received multiple phone calls from this alleged charity (American Institute for Cancer Research)  with the 877-275 prefix including: 6850, 6835,8318, 8236, etc.  Soon they will now start using a different set of numbers to try and bilk more people out of their money.  They might call themselves a "charity" but a close look at how enormous their  internal "expenses"  are gives a more accurate view of what this "charity" is really all about.

Calls every day

I tried calling the number back, pressed "1" and got a message about what their organization does, interrupted it to press "3", and it started to ask for the ten digit number . . .but then cut off to nothing.  Tried again with the same result.

This is a nuisance call begging for money without answering any question or giving any details about them self. Never leave any message, when no one answer.

Amer Cancer Soc.  3 star rating (out of 4).  CEO is paid 668,884 per yr, Deputy CEO gets 1,027,306.

Amer Instit for Cancer Research. 1 start rating.  Pres paid 425,833.

These kinds of organizations may well do a lot of good work but it really irks me when I see what some of the execs are paid

I have received 3 to 4 calls from them each day.

I have caller ID so I do not answer the phone but it is still annoying because your have to take the time to go to the phone to see who is calling.

This is good information however lets see if it really works ? Should you not here from me again it works
